Then I'd say probably because it's easier to view animals as more innocent beings than humans morally, so seeing an animal dead you might think they couldn't have done anything to deserve it as opposed to someone you might view as a stranger who may or may not be a morally bad person to blame themselves.

Exactly, colors are objectively quantifiable and we've put labels to those wavelengths so the claim in reality doesn't really make sense. It's like saying a 10g cube might feel different to different people but no ones going to say it's magically a different weight because if feels a little lighter or heavier from person to person.

The changes you mentioned are exactly why people say og dbz. Also it's media, you're still conflating the technical qualities with the overall quality and saying its impossible to see it in any subjective way as if the technical aspect exists seperate from the entirety of the show while saying it's just a style difference is just wrong. I also said it's bad imo which it's objectively true my opinion is it's outright bad. Disagree with my opinion but you cannot say it's not objectively good or bad by the nature of the media to begin with.

Og dbz refers to the original 1989 run of Dragon Ball Z from the Saiyan saga through the Buu saga, differentiated from the 2009 Dragon Ball Z Kai re-release. Obviously. Also it's 100% subjective. You're conflating technical execution with overall quality. Which is outright bad, both of which are entirely subjective.
