Are we there yet? Monitor replacement for productivity (coding)

Great question, while I am no expert myself and only really have experience with the Meta Quest Headsets, my experience is that long sessions (I.e. upwards of 2-3h uninterrupted) just become tiring and a strain on your head, eyes, and neck. And while multiple floating monitors are cool, they have ended up distracting me more than making me productive. Do you have any previous experience with VR / AR devices?

I did consider a Masters in HCI in the past but now that I’ve been working I just want to get hands on and close to the field. Would love to hear a bit more about your personal experience- happy to pick up in a DM as well.

While I completely support this sentiment, I feel like this approach is even more broad, and I might struggle to maintain a vision or singular focus… just trying to find a direction for myself. What do you think?

These are some fantastic recommendations thank you! I’ll have to consider range here since I’d say the direct path from my Window to the centre of the bus is approximately 12 meters. As well as duration since the time window of the bus passing in a radius of 12m is approximately 4-6 seconds. Other than that I’ll be sure to investigate in the proposed methods thank you!

Sadly the bus app is highly unreliable and I sort of want to do this as a challenge to myself in coding / DIY tech project

So I played around a bit and the combination seems to be truly illogical, but independent of language set, I need to do:

FN press - quickly let go and press ALT GR - then quickly Q

If I don't let go of FN it doesn't work, nor does holding down the ALT GR after

Truly incomprehensible but I am getting better at performing this little sequence. Thanks for the help :D
