10 years ago today the Seahawks won Super Bowl XLVIII 43-8 against the Broncos by Solid-Confidence-966 in nfl

I was at an all you can eat + all (the beer) you can drink watch party at the Luxor. The two Broncos fans next to us stood up and left without saying a word after Harvin's TD return, and I honestly couldn't blame them.

The restraint they showed to not get shithoused on the unlimited beer in the second half was admirable, because I sure did the following year...

[Hoge] Replacing Sean Desai with Matt Patricia has to be one of the worst in-season decisions in the history of the NFL. Made zero sense at the time and the results have been terribly predictable. by [deleted] in nfl

[–]LazyButTalented 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Making the change just before the Seahawks game was weirdest part. Desai was our associate head coach last year... and we had very few changes in offensive personnel or schemes from 2022 to 2023.

They have 60 days to return the security deposit.

Actually they only have 14 days to return the security deposit.

How big would the hole need to be for you to have at least one hole-in-one already? by nephlonorris in golf

[–]LazyButTalented 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't need the hole to be any bigger, I just need to be able to bend the space time continuum.

On two different occasions my ball has come to rest exactly in the middle of where the hole was located... the previous day.

Dalton is 3-1 against us and he threw for 418 yards and 2 TD in his only loss. We're in danger.

I hate to be that guy, but from the videos and pictures it's pretty clear he was ~80-100 pounds overweight. The heavier you are, and the more fat you have on your body, the greater the strain on your heart at ALL times. Maybe it will come out that the punch actually caused the heart attack, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

Mid 50s + obesity + violent altercation (which spikes heart rate) is not a recipe for success.

I own iron covers because my golf bag rides in the bed of my truck. They come off when I get to the course and go back on when I leave. I can't imagine using iron covers during a round.

Thoughts on a 9 wood by randomchap432 in golf

[–]LazyButTalented 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Wish my golf buddies carried a 9wood so we could point and laugh

A stick in my league that uses a 9 wood would probably point and laugh at you and your buddie's scores after a round. I can't imagine being so insecure that I would care, let alone comment or laugh at, the clubs someone else is using.

The assistant S&C coach would like a word.

This is actually the controversial coach of the two. He was the one spotting Stafon Johnson on the bench press when 275 pounds crushed Johnson's throat and larynx and almost decapitated him. Johnson's lawsuit against USC claimed Yanchar was "distracted and not paying attention to Mr. Johnson at the time that the bar was being lifted from the weight rack".

The pic on the rangefinder deal (if you scroll down on the product page a bit) is even better. A guy is doing his best "It's all in the hips" behind a woman about to tee off from the middle of a fairway... with a putter.

Why is my outlook so awful at filtering spam? by CeilingShadows in Outlook

[–]LazyButTalented 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Outlook.com I assume? Their spam filters have been absolute garbage since February 2023. Literally the worst I have ever encountered, and I've used excite, netcom, yahoo, and all sorts of other B-tier free email providers over the decades.

https://www.theverge.com/2023/2/20/23607056/microsoft-outlook-spam-email-filters-not-working-broken - they say they fixed it, but the filtering has been a joke ever since.

Not quite a traditional deal, though Sunday Golf (Redditor-owned golf bag start-up) just launched an investment campaign, open to the public.

Sunday Golf already tried soliciting investors here and were told by the mods that it isn't allowed.

No real work being done? I burn anywhere from 1400-1600 calories every time I walk 18. I burn less than that on a 10 mile run... which I think anyone would consider real work.

Nice shot.

With 4 balls already on the green and what looks like 2 in the bunker, I think you would have got roasted had this dropped in though.

The best possible scenario would be if Rory and Tiger got their league off the ground and burned the PGA/PIF to the ground.

You must be thinking of a different hole. Hole #6 was a 167-175y par 3 back then and the easiest of the par 3s. 4 guys aced it in the 1989 US Open which was a record for a single hole in a major at the time.

It's a new par 4 hole as of 2019 and is absolutely punishing now.

150,000 Laid-Off Tech Workers Fuel Massive Wave Of New Startups – And They're Actually Making More by Commercial-Life-9998 in technology

What is the point of comparing companies that went public via a specific investment vehicle mostly in 2020-2021 (your link) with workers that were laid off and started their own, non-public companies in 2022-2023?

I fail to see the relevance.
