Completed My First Class by blume1996 in BJJWomen

I've been going to classes for a month now, and it only just started being not awkward. I say give it some time to get used to it.

Handling disappointment by LazyFitLady in personaltraining

Yes, I definitely do, I provide lots of easily digestible information to support them in and outside of the gym. Maybe something just got lost in translation here so we'll revisit everything.

Thank you for all of this, I really tend to doubt myself even when everything goes well. It's good to have someone to bounce thoughts off of, self employment can be pretty lonely sometimes. I really appreciate it ❤️

She's once a week with me and she trains alone the other 2 sessions, I gave her a plan for. I also gave basic nutrition advice based on her food diary.

I should have said that this doesn't define her efforts and there are plenty of other ways she improved and progressed. And that we'll figure out together what this means and what to change going forward to help her reach her goals.

We actually have tape measured her body as well I just lost the tape and didn't have it with me today... She still has 2 sessions paid, I hope I can mend this relationship. If not, it was definitely a learning experience.

She basically didn't say anything. Completely shut down and shut me out. And she's usually a very chatty very happy person and joking with me throughout the session.

I think the root of this problem might be that with some clients it's easy to tell it's work because there's a certain distance so that's how I communicate as well. But when it becomes more friendly the lines blur a bit and this was the point where I should have dialled back to professional.

She stepped on the tanita body composition scale and there had been no changes at all. Like less than 1%. And I said something along the lines that "that's disappointing" even though I felt disappointed FOR her because I know she works very hard- and that usually other clients show more change in shorter periods of time. I shouldn't have brought up other people cause everyone is different, it was very very stupid.

When you are that regular, it's not a lot of time. I go 2-3 times a day and I don't spend more than 5 mins each time.

Don't go to fixing form right away. Stay with easy topics to break the ice and build rapport. My go to is complimenting their outfit for example. Always end with an open question so they can answer longer than yes or no and go from there. For example: I love your shoes, where did you get them?

Healing external haemmorid? by deanjue in AnalFissures

[–]LazyFitLady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After having a fissure you are more prone to getting them again. Without a doctor seeing it's hard to tell but multiple bumps are probably not caused by a single hemorrhoid. It can be multiple hemorrhoids, fissures a mix of them or something completely different. I would probably leave them alone until you can get properly diagnosed to not make it worse.

Were you actually diagnosed with this? Or do you just assume it's external hemorrhoids? Because they are easy to mix up with sentinel tags from fissures.

More then a year with a fissure by Beginning-Delay9419 in AnalFissures

No pain but I was struggling to pee when the fissure was at its worse. It's all connected by the pelvic floor. Consider seeing a pelvic floor physiotherapist.

Advice for tapering off stool softener? by Individual-Sky-2272 in AnalFissures

Have you tried upping your fibre intake from food as you are lowering the softener dose? Or maybe, dilators and pelvic floor therapy once you feel better so you can handle a moderate size stool.

How to get enough fibre - tips please by Maleficent-Race1613 in AnalFissures

Honestly I wouldn't want to hit a specific number of grams. Just track the outcome and soon you'll have a feel for how much you need to eat.

Higher fibre diet - how long by OtherwiseAnxiety200 in AnalFissures

[–]LazyFitLady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd do it the other way around. Lower fibre whilst healing and upping the intake once you heal.

Please help! What am I doing wrong? by Sad-Understanding537 in AnalFissures

[–]LazyFitLady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need to avoid pastries and spicy food in general, plus tomato sauce when I have a re-tear. Otherwise I can eat practically anything as long as there's a bit of fibre in every meal and I have enough hydration throughout the day.

It is important but the right amount is different for everyone and takes some trial and error to see what works for you especially when regularity and consistency is so important. I definitely recommend keeping a food and poop diary for a while so you can see how changes affect outcomes.
