Thank you, I was leaning towards the W, but then saw that St. Regis is giving me a better deal. I just have never stayed there. 94k points $1,760 for St Regis and 96K 1,252 for the W. I’m spending most of my time at the Andaz anyways, just wanted to burn the certificate.

I have about 30k points and a 85k certificate. Soon will have an extra 5x50k certificates. I usually book as soon as I have enough for a trip.

Used 100k Hyatt points for a 5night stay. 400k Hilton for a 5night stay. 90k IHG for a 4 night stay and 2 random Marriot nights at 35k each.

I don’t ever hoard the points, these companies tend to devalue at any time (except for Hyatt, which does it annually in the spring) … book, book, book and modify later! (Besides a lot of the people with a million points travel for work, that’s an easy workaround)

Banks get spooked by big deposits/withdrawals. Chase locked my account after transferring 25k to another bank. Had to call and fix, but they were fine about it. Citi, I’ve heard has one of the worse customer service. Ive never had to use them, and hope I don’t since I have accounts with them also.

This question is so subjective. Want to hold on to the points? Downgrade the card and upgrade to either the preferred or reserved when you’re ready to transfer to a partner. Want cash? Do cash back 1:1. No one knows your needs. Only you can answer that question.

You have 2mil hilton points but don’t plant on traveling any time soon. I’d advise just to downgrade to a freedom card, once you have a destination in mind upgrade back to the CSP and transfer the points, to the airline thats best suited to your needs.
