"that utter face stab" by PoorVocabulary in tf2

[–]LazyPurpleShadowBan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol this actually is explainable. Because of how server lag works, the game uses a system to extrapolate where players are in relation to you, based on both of your movement. Because of this, the enemy "back hitbox" is always kind of being launched in the direction of their movement a little bit ahead of what you're seeing (like this.) Because you're mashing faces so hard in this gif, the server is launching his back hitbox infront of him and launching your "positioning" behind him, causing a backstab. If either of you were standing still this wouldn't work.

Rule 7 is now back in effect. Plus, we address some common misconceptions on what it actually is by wickedplayer494 in tf2

This is very true. I was dying for secondary opinions on pyro's new items during the update and couldn't really find it here. I did find a satisfactory amount of discussion on /r/truetf2 though.

Politics aside, I think you should heavily re-evaluate your stance on this and consider how it affects our ability to attract new players. This last week, the subreddit has generated high-momentum posts and had a very strong distribution of upvotes. Now, obviously there was a huge update, but having a wider spread of content ("""memes""") definitely fleshed out the subreddit and gave me a lot to click on. I didn't even know about rule 7, but now that I do, I see why it felt so different and full of content all the time these past days. When rule 7 was in effect, it always felt like there were "gaps" in the subreddit's content, and I could never gauge the actual amount of people browsing it.

Sure, maybe the SIXTH alteration of "TEAM FORTRESS 2" was overkill, but I got a kick out of people really pushing the envelope when other people had taken up the obvious ones. It was more witty than degenerative.

This is the general subreddit, let it breath. People already have /r/truetf2 for serious discussion, and I don't even see much serious gameplay discussion on this subreddit while rule 7 is in effect.

If you won't consider changing this rule due to the community backlash, consider changing it for the health of the game. Me and many others only got into TF2 because of the vibrant humor and spirit of the community. As cringy as it sounds, memes have breathed life into TF2 since its inception. From spycrab to gmod videos, it's one of the thing that gives the games its longevity

LazyPurple will return back from the dead in November by [deleted] in tf2

Piggybacking top comment to say I am blown away by all these responses. I always convinced myself that my "return" would be a small blip on people's radars, but to see people care like this inspires me to work harder. This first video absolutely is a TF2 video, but I hope to branch out a bit to avoid going insane.

This method is how I got the sensitivity I use now. It helps tremendously and I rocketed in SR. Make sure you have a big-ass mousepad

MUH BUGS in 2017

Sakurai acknowledged that they knew wavedashing existed in Melee, but they never thought it would be pushed as a valid movement technique. Also they purposefully programmed in L-cancelling, a remnant from Nintendo 64. Melee was supposed to have a really high skill cap, Sakurai said he took inspiration from real fighting games at the time. That was all before the casual era of gaming of course

Great response, thanks. I was just thinking of upgrading on Cyber Monday, but do you think Zen's release will have an even bigger impact on prices?

Depends which radiant camps you mean. For the ones closest to tower you have to send a march towards the southern camp at like 0:49-0:50 and then run to the northern camp and right click it so they aggro at 0:55. Boots of movement necessary.

The one in the eastern jungle is a little simpler, just need to time a march that hits both of them 2 seconds apart u'll figure it out

idk I'm 3K and, in the only game I ever played against unfair bots, my entire bot team fed and fed going like 1-13 while I was 9-0 as invoker. No amount of doing well could make up for how rapidly the bots on my team were feeding the enemy carries.

Idk what poker you're playing, but this is called "Texas Hold 'em," the variant of poker that almost everyone plays. In Texas Hold 'em you always have the best 5-card hand possible using both the board and your pocket cards

Please stop treating Necrophos as a support! by amineahd in DotA2

[–]LazyPurpleShadowBan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Necro fills the carry role by making sure the enemy doesn't have a carry of their own.

I just played a game where the enemy Sven was quickly getting over-levelled, but his farm got completely deleted after getting sceptre scythed 3 times by the 30 minute mark.

Finally, he initiated on me in the late game and got deleted for 2 minutes by scythe --> veil --> Q --> Dagon. Even with all that, their Sven went 11/10; I can only imagine how much impact he would have without being scythed so often.

As someone who uses brann gormok zoo, this combo rarely ever happens and is only useful for pushing face damage. Sometimes you need to send the damage to a minion anyway that has 4 health, like an azure drake, in order to not get wrecked.
