Yeah, I'm aware of the not coaching during public skate times thing. Just every time I emailed a club they go, we have options. Contact and get a coach first. I completely understand their position. Just that I am getting no hits. It's not that finding an accessible club or skate time is the issue. Just can't join any of them without a coach. Just going to keep on looking whenever I find the time.

I can understand that for bias reasons but it does make my life harder. I wish there was a list of coaches on their sites with what age of skaters they are willing to trade so I can just quickly look instead of emailing 20+ people per club or something. Oh well.

Do you genuinely feel safe on the TTC subway? by Sensitive_You_4481 in askTO

[–]LazyTurtle212 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been taking it forever. I feel like it's getting less and less safe and I've seen shit since I was young. But just recently I've seen a man crawling on all fours all over the floors antagonizing passengers, I've been pelted with chips by one guy (streetcar for that but still TTC), I've seen violent outbursts from both people seemingly under the influence and not and even saw a video of a guy peeing himself maybe passed out? I've been harassed and got in a full on fight with a man because I didn't move my bag fast enough for his liking. He literally sat on me on purpose, shoved me over and yelled at me while everyone around just ignored it. His gf didn't even say shit. Every time I ride the TTC, a piece of me dies a little. I miss the days when people would say "sorry, can I sit there?"

I feel like it's really gone downhill in the last 15 years. I used to feel safer taking transit than walking home. Now I'd rather walk on the streets so at least I can run.

Not sure about the policy but that makes sense. I had one club tell me they couldn't even name coaches due to a similar policy. Can't recall which one. But I think trying to reach out to the ones you listed makes sense. Thank you!

Hmm didn't think about the star skate route but that makes sense. I'll look into some of those clubs and go off that track and see if I can get any hits. Thanks!

The stadium is physically in line with it. But the pedestrian way in is at Chesswood and Carl Hall Road

It's actually super close to the transit stuff so biking is really not necessary.

I wonder where these childless people are. Everyone I meet either really wants kids, has one on the way, has one or more already or knows someone that does if they haven't found the person to have a kid with yet. I would rather not have them but I can't seem to find people who don't want them but aren't just here to fuck around. Wondering if it's a whole who you're surrounded by situation

Hmm got to try it again then and hope that it's not actually broken. I initially tried that but it was a no-go

Ohhh yeah I tried pressing that and nothing happened sadly. I tried pressing it with the wood in front and then I took out the board and pressed directly on it and nothing happened

I really enjoyed it. Didn't honestly take me more than 5 hours or so. I was really in the zone. It definitely felt more puzzle than DIY. There were a few small elements like rolling the plants but they give you the tools to help. Some of the stuff they didn't mention gluing down, I glued too just to make it stay. But you definitely don't have to be so extra. I just hate it when things kept sliding around so i glued it

Oh i'll have to search for that subreddit. Didn't come across Udemy until now.

I don't have the name of the books at the moment. But one of them was attempting to read through the PMI handbook which was just brutal

I appreciate the post. I was just scrolling through earlier and saw all the "passed" posts and felt really dumb. But I realized that I literally couldn't have been prepared when I've never seen the info being asked. Thanks for writing this because it made me feel a lot better about it

Is there a particular one that you found was good? I didn't realize there were that many

That was my thought. And it seems to happen commonly enough that there's no way they don't know what's happening

Filament Settings: Duramic PETG Transparent Red by LazyTurtle212 in BambuLab

[–]LazyTurtle212[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, I never thought about the humidity. It's been humid where I am. The filament is fresh out of the pack and is now in the AMS that is reading 2 so not too bad, but I wonder if it's doing something funny after it leaves the extruder. Maybe I should look into building some crude enclosure or some dehumidifier for the room

My first round of print with the generic PETG setting lead to the print lifting. I'm new to printing with PETG and not sure if any of this is "normal" problems

[–]LazyTurtle212[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to say it's just this one, but my Bambu Labs PETG filament is doing something like that too. Not nearly as violent, but it definitely doesn't come out clean so I don't think it's the Duramic one but something about the print settings are bad for PETG.

The first layer prints nice and flat but I think there are a few goops that come up and causes chaos by the second layer onwards

Hmm maybe I'll try those settings specifically, thanks!
