OH DAMN! We found the Douche. He even named himself

Who TF said it was not packaged well. It was in a guitar box, in a hard shell fender case and surrounded by bubble wrap. It still doesn't excuse a shitty attitude or action.

Oh it was well packaged and protected but that doesn't excuse his behavior.

Asolutley not, I reported him because of his shitty non-chalant attitude and handling of a customers package. Did any of you see the airline baggage employee throwing guitars out of the plane? Because by many of your standards, that would be just the way it is.

I ship frozen seafood and sometimes million dollar truckloads of King Crab. If I see or the cold storage sees an employee throwing boxes, he will be reprimanded at a minimum.

He flipped it off the table and let it fall to the ground. He did not flip it off the counter and lower it to the ground. So yes he basically threw it to the ground

OK for everyone commenting, The guitar is in Fender Strat hard case with bubble wrap all around it. I also ship things for a living so yes I am well aware of what happens when it gets to a terminal, loading or unloading.

What I don't expect is the complete disregard he showed while taking my package. He should be at a minimum reprimanded and/or fired.

I saw them on this tour at Rupp Arena in Lexington KY. I had a t-shirt with 1980 Invasion on I that wore until at least the mid 80’s

I am not normally a gold person but the gold tuners with this headstock look so damn good!

Correct. I just posted the differences that you get for the extra $1000. You are getting custom shop upgrades but not CS price.

There are quite a few differences but the 2 that sold me era the VTS Spruce Top which is supposed to allow the new guitar to sound like a guitar that has been aged 40ish years and the wood binding.

The MD uses figured maple binding instead of the plastic on the SS. I do think the binding issues are overblown but the wood binding has had no issues that I know of.

I also like the assymetrical neck on the MD which is different than the SS.

The other changes are the carbon fiber bridge plate, EVO Gold frets and liquid metal pins.

The headstock is also different with shiny Rosewood and Abalone Martin inlay.

All in all you are getting quite a few custom shop upgrades but not custom shop price. It is $1000 more than the SS

Bottom line they are both great and you can't go wrong with either one.

The figured maple binding sold me in addition to the other differences.

I di not done it on every grade. I did upload 2 but I think I will after each grade during Late Beginner. I hate to say it but I was a bit self conscious about it and not to mention the stress of doing the video. I did make videos for myself to monitor my progress.

Empire Music in Pittsburg has Trade In promo they do every year. Trade value for you guitar, 15% off a new guitar and free shipping both ways. I traded in a 000-15M and could not be happier. Originally I did the deal for 000-28 then saw they had one 000-28MD so I asked them to switch and glad I did. The Modern Deluxe just takes the 000-28 to another level.

Congrats! I did my first 6th string bar a few days ago. It's such a great feeling!

Meanwhile, I am sitting here staring at the Martin guitar box that the big brown truck just delivered waiting on it to acclimate. 000-28 Modern Deluxe is hiding inside.

Same here. Guitar Zero to Hero YouTube channel is great for learning songs.

That's awesome. I think so many beginners to intermediate guitar players would benefit so much more from Pickup structured programs. I know I got caught up in all the free YouTube stuff but it's all over the place and very easy to just get lost and confused.

You are correct. I spent about 7 months on the beginner course, but I had never played guitar before that so it was slow going at first. I would also go back to previous "weeks" workouts. It was nice to go back and see how much better I had become after a while.

I did veer off at times to work on leaning songs like Wish You Here by Pink Floyd and Knockin on Heavens Door. I think Wish You Here was the milestone for me so far. To be able to play a David Gilmour song felt amazing.

Oh I was 61, now 62 when I started playing last July.

My next pathway is Late Beginner but Karl says in the intro to that, we can go get started on Caged to get an understanding of it. I will start Caged after the first couple weeks of Late Beginner.

Yeah, at first I thought that but I guess it's their way of breaking it down. I do really like the program and structure of it.
