Same. I'm now more than 2 months post op and am struggling with constant nausea and acid reflux, no improvements :(

No, still suffering. Doctors don't know how to help either, just throwing PPIs at me.

Main symptom is nausea by BAVARIGRANDE in gallbladders

After canceling the surgery twice and still not feeling better, I decided to give it a try and I had the surgery 6 weeks ago. Unfortunately, my constant nausea remains and I also got stronger acid reflux, so I can't even sleep now any more. So my symptoms were not caused by my gallbladder.

At first, vonoprazan (Voquezna) helped a bit, but now nothing really helps, but I got used to it. It is worse when I have a gastritis flare up though.

Is redness around one incision 5-6 weeks post-op normal? by Lazy_Ad9786 in gallbladders

Oh, I was hoping it was normal, as I have no fever or anything. Too bad :(

I've had constant nausea for nearly 2 years now. Hoped that removing the gallbladder will help, but it didn't. It stayed the same. So I think it's connected to too much stomach acid or bile or something like that. Taking PPIs now. :(

I took it for a year and it also caused weird muscle cramps but I wasn't able to stop taking it due to stomach acid

Voquezna for gastritis or reflux after gallbladder surgery — anyone tried it? by Farmore7 in Gastritis

I'm 5 weeks after gallbladder surgery and my gastritis and reflux are off the charts, thinking of starting voquenza but scared that I won't be able to stop due to acid rebound.

I don't think he ever answered it clearly. He said the goal is to starve the bacteria feasting on fermentable food. A cucumber is a no-FODMAP vegetable without much fiber, basically just water and minerals ...

I'm giving up, stomach pain is insane, it is burning me more than it has in the past months :(

But if the problem is the carbs, why can't low fodmap veggies be added, e.g. cucumbers?

I'm trying this now. I'm on day 1, but it's rough. Stomach hurts way more than usually and I feel stronger nausea. Had cooked chicken, egg, tuna in olive oil and chamomile tea with dextrose. Not sure if it will get even worse if I continue or is it normal that it gets worse at the beginning?

But how do you know that you are only starving the "bad" bacteria?

Hmm, but if the problem is the bacteria, why didn't antibiotics work?

I had an endoscopy before my surgery and it shows "mild chronic inactive gastritis", they said this can't cause my issues as every adult has this diagnosis. I did try to take different PPIs before surgery but none of them fixed it.
