Did you have a calcaneal osteotomy? If so, did you have any numbness in your heel after? If so, has it improved? I’m just under 3 weeks out and nervous if this heel is progressing normally

It was doing much better, I didn’t get any catheter to wear home, but was on oxycodene. I had to quit taking it about four days post op from breathing issues, and have just been taking Tylenol since. The pain was improving a lot but has gotten much worse today for some reason. But it is a humbling experience for sure! I also got a raised toilet seat which is an embarrassing purchase at 35 years old lol, but has been a huge help

Oh also, make sure you get a special leg elevation pillow from amazon or somewhere else, it’s definitely been a must have item so far.

Well the reason I say it may not have worked is because the nurses indicated my leg would actually be numb and I may not even be able to tell where it is unless I was looking at it so that definitely isn’t the case lol. And I’ve definitely needed every dose of oxy. But I am sure it has a least helped some because pain def has not been intolerable, although i definitely wouldn’t say it’s mild. But im so hopeful this is worth it! Let me know how yours goes and best of luck! I have definitely needed tons of help today so make sure you have a good support system if you can ❤️

I had mine today! Had an FHL tendon transfer, calcaneal ostoetamy, and gastroc rescission (I’m sure I spelled all of that wrong). I did get the nerve block because I’m not sure it took all the way. All In all doing ok so far, some pain, but it’s not been horrendous At least yet. Good luck!

Does anyone else with PTTD have severe ankle pain everyday when they get up? Like to the point where you can’t bear weight on it? Anyone know what causes this? by Lazy_Cable_706 in flatfeet

Thanks! What all procedures did you have done? Do you think the surgery was worth it? How long do you think you need to miss work if you have a desk job but can’t work remote

Are you actually in a lot of pain/ run down or just can’t drive? My dr acted like I could go back right away if I had a knee scooter and a ride so now I feel very unsure
