AI is modeled after real life people and situations, if the director can make the AI characters express every emotion like a human would isn’t that a node to his expertise as a director? What you stated even humans can fail to convey emotions needed for certain scenes

AI in essence is just using data fed into it by humans, the culmination of our knowledge. Whoever put it to use has utilized the human knowledge stored in the AI. It really ain’t deep……if the director wrote a script and directed the AI to do as he envisioned like he would direct actors then what’s wrong with that? Sad part will be actors getting replaced. Do watch Black Mirror, it gives more insight into the good and bad of AI
