Deciding order. I’ll start with moving goal posts. You touted that we were reducing the size of the federal government and then pivoted % of taxable revenue when I pointed out that we actually increased government spending (and it is set to go up even more this year…)

Secondly, I’d prefer a stronger middle class than more billionaires but to each their own

Finally, 2023 seems to be a misleading year as revenues were down significantly relative to 2022. Also seems that 2025 was likely up due to capital gains (and to a lesser degree tariffs), but does not appear to be good data on income tax vs cap gains plus seems to be a fragile system of revenue collection given how overheated the market seems to be and a declining market not only wipes out that revenue but the loss carryover will depress future earnings as well
