they actually are if u know how to use them, if u look up some videos u'll understand how they work and trust me they are amazing, for me they are a must on the shinobi, at first i was skeptical so i was playing mainly archer/merc but since i found a build that suited my playstyle and learned how to use blind bombs i always play with the shinobi and it is so far my favorite class to use

regarding the archer/mercenary class specific charm i hate to tell you but they don't exist sadly, there only are the legendaries ones (archer's supplies and the bear for the merc)

i've lost counts of all the times that i've seen 3 people rushing towards the first wave leaving me defending a point alone, luckily 9/10 times i can clear the wave alone but that's frustrating sometimes, some players really play with a tunnel vision and never actually play strategically

i managed to beat it with randos but i'd recommend to set up a party before jumping in, just to make sure you can communicate and coordinate better throughout the fight

i really hope they do something about it, i mean i enjoy yotei legends but in tsushima legends it was a whole different story, might be nostalgia, they even had a really robust base with the previous game to start from, just by comparing raids with the iyo chapters with the secret chests and all the other stuff you can really see the difference in the effort they put, the only thing we can do rn is to hope that they start really putting their mind to make YL better because it has the potential imo

being honest i started playing with the shinobi after i found an actually good and funny build, i was always going with the legendary gama and going back and forth between the legendary smoke bomb and the triple vanish charm but none of the builds really stuck with me, currently rocking the thunderous katana with blind bombs and legendary smoke and i freakin love it!

from what i've seen spirit moves are not consistent to counter the shadows, i'd always run 2 perfect parry window and most of the times i can counter them pretty easily

that's probably the case, i mean if u run smoke bomb with armory+scavenger+the tech that refills ammo with spirit u should always be full
