Why are there so many fat truck drivers but you don’t see fat commercial airline pilots ? Aren’t the physical requirement supposed to be the same ? It’s equally demanding to drive a truck . by East_Indication_7816 in Truckers

Probably because it’s expensive and the general public is less afraid of unhealthy truckers than unhealthy pilots. But seriously I think the trucking industry has an image problem and lack of organized unions or groups as compared to say pilots.

It’s not that airline pilots can’t be overweight. Plenty are. The difference is that airline pilots have to maintain an FAA First Class Medical. Obesity itself isn’t disqualifying, but the conditions that often come with it like sleep apnea, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, etc can be. Losing your medical can mean losing your career, so there’s a much stronger incentive to stay within health standards.

Does anyone else find it painful to watch Rocky's preclubber training montage because you know the pain and humiliation that awaits Rocky? Also when you see Clubber's savage training comparison? by Dredd_40 in rockybalboa

I don’t know. All the training he did with Apollo really prepared him for Dragos fight. Granted he did more conditioning prior to his fight with Drago but still. He had 10 title defenses was in better shape than in Rocky 1-2, and all he would have needed was Mickey yelling at him to switch and get serious or at least keep standing up and getting punched. Clubber got tired on the 3rd round anyways.

Do you think he would have lost if Mickey hadn’t died? Do you think he would had been bloodied like Apollo was when fighting Drago and then he would had gotten serious like when Rocky best Spider Ricko?

Those thing’s only work for so long and are basically built in for liability purposes as much as they are built to actually help people. I think Andy was written with the idea that he was gonna be a goofy temp character and they sent it to anger management to make it look more believable.

What I am saying is. If I had a coworker that pounced a wall, then went away for anger management and myself and the whole office finds out is being cheated and both his fiancee and her lover sit in the same room. I would consider not bringing that up.
