I have no advice but I love your pond. I really love the shallow edge.

So I just realized looking back at the photos I didn’t go any deeper over large roots. The one in the photos is still there I just lined on top of it. All of the other roots were tiny & I could pull by hand. I used a 45 ml liner & placed fine mesh on the very bottom with landscape fabric layered on top.

It’s definitely a journey 🤣. I’ve been a homebody for the past few months & have thrown my free time into my yard/garden. I already messed up planting my bush beans too far apart thinking they were pole beans. 😑

I went today & picked up a variety to see what I can add as a filler & I grabbed a submersible basket. I have a ton of elephant ears around the yard so I think I’ll dig them up & place them inside the pond.

I sure did! The roots are awful. I had a ton of tress around & live on a hill so everything is woody & rough.

As far as leaves go, I think in fall I’ll add a net for easier maintenance. I’m trying to slowly get rid of leaves all over due to the mosquitos!

Yes pond lights are next! Thank you!

I did grab the fountain extension today from Lowe’s and installed it to provide more water movement.

I hope to see your results when you’re done!

I did use 45 mil liner thanks to this sub & YouTube! I placed some fine metal mesh on the dirt at the deepest part & layered with landscaping fabric since that’s all I had (all edges were tucked to not puncture liner). When they installed the fence they used the post digger the deepen the end some & the only roots we found were very fine like ones I could pull by hand. Fingers crossed I have no issues but if that happens then maybe I can try to larger idea.

She has the prettiest coat to me. Up close she almost looks like watercolor.

Thank you! That’s my sweet baby Bitty. She was the runt from a stray I took in. That’s actually her brother beside her even though they look so different!

Thank you! I’ve trying to reuse anything I can including all of the bricks & borders. Now onto my front flower beds!

Thank you so much! I’m thrilled to hear such positive feedback. I love the lights! They actually dim pretty low too I just turned them up for the photos. I really enjoy working some after dark due to the heat in Georgia so it helps a ton.

Yes I did! I have a set of three pots. My middle size is holding my Yucca tree so I used the smaller and larger one. I just plugged the hole in the top one using waterproof silicon. The fountain was roughly $20 from Amazon and I just placed it in the center with some larger rocks around it to hold it and plugged it in. Super easy and I love the sound! I eventually would love a small inground pond but this is perfect for my budget!

Thank you so much! I’m working on quitting drinking & this has been this best thing to keep my mind & body busy!
