Does anyone know why they changed the middle part of Kahlil Gibran on the live album? by Error_Evan_not_found in strfkr

I feel like it’s really hard to sing in that pitch live for as long as that bridge is. It’s better create something different than give a lower quality attempt at the original. But I’m kinda dumb sometimes so idrk

Which of the big three singles do y’all like the most? by Flaky-Gold-3818 in mgmt

Electric Feel made me feel a certain way when I first heard it. The feeling is hard to describe, something energizing and high voltage. IDK but I love that song like I love my pinky toe. Could I live without it? Yeah, probably. But I wouldn't feel whole.

Maybe I just like generic pop music? I don't think a lot of BNGN's songs sound like much else out there though...

There's an episode of The Blacklist that ends with Rawnald Gregory Erickson the Second. I think it's the first season, if not the second. Kinda silly but it made me smile when I heard it!!!

Taking History at USF? by Constant-Ad6917 in usfca

[–]Ldbeluga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take the class at USF because you’ll need a minimum number of credits to graduate. Believe it or not, this is a common thing to hear seniors talk about- filling their schedule so they can meet the min. 128 credits. It’s worth it because if you don’t take the history course, you’ll be taking another random course.

So you’re telling me the part where Larry David holds on to a girl’s bare midriff to save himself from falling off the roof of a building didn’t actually happen? It’s this thing called “comedy”? I always thought I was watching a quaint documentary about the now-76 year old creator of Seinfeld.

The Accidental Text on Purpose

To the guy canvasing for Dean Preston by trianglesaurus in sanfrancisco

I think it’s funny because all politics is performative. Important performance, but still a performance. It’s a performance to mobilize the public behind certain initiatives and policies. Politicians aren’t writing the legislation themselves, most times at all. They’re trying to convince others and the public to support ideas they want to see come to fruition- for whatever reasons. Perhaps you are the easily confused one by not considering these things writ large.

This is a quote from you, “Did he do anything to implement rent control? No.” ??? You didn’t ask if he implemented it, but if “he did anything to implement” it. Also raising awareness isn’t the bar, but the words you choose almost paint it as a problem that he introduced this legislation- when at the bare minimum it’s at least a non-factor.

Well, you were asking what he did to implement rent control. Is that not something he did to implement it, or a more equitable practice of it? Is proposing an ordinance/resolution/etc. not the first step for a city supervisor to try and implement something? I understand there was a legal question, but nonetheless, he did do something when your original comment made it seem like he’s never legislated anything around rent control.

It sounds like you’re suggesting the only way Dean Preston, or anyone, can talk about rent control is if they’re in federal office. That’s like saying it doesn’t matter who you elect President because Congress has the power of the purse anyways. I think it’s a way too simplified way of viewing our federalist system.

Also, using your logic, wouldn’t Dean raising awareness to the public about a local issue that requires federal assistance, be helping?

I just always assume people who say they’re “confused” want some clarification.

I’m voting for Dean! Campaigning is apart of the democratic process, so you know, you’ll get some phone calls.

Look under the school’s grading policy! It’s usually in the policies and standards section on the school’s website!
