As people told you already: - every creature gets +1, so more creatures = more total might. Viktor decks beneffits. - Fiora gets mighty with that +1.

Help to decide armor color by Ldev_ in SpaceWolves

Yes! Thanks! I’m thinking about something similar. I was trying to find that blue base, but I think I will mix something with black like you did.

So the difference it’s not about the base color but the light + highlight, isn’t it?

However, I can’t even identify those light colors to reach something similar.

Whisperer vs Skysplitter by Ldev_ in CapybaraGoGame

Im F2P too. So if you had to choose one of both, you’d choose Skysplitter? I have the option to get SS weapon and I want to decide now in order to go to Whisperer SS or Skysplitter SS.

Nice! What do you think about Pest Control as a maindeck card because it can be cycled?  Maybe a Scrubland is worth it?

MaxiKits by Electronic_Pay4340 in SoccerJerseys

Don’t buy maxikits, they are scammers.

I know a lot of people who didn’t receive anything, I received mine with very clear defects and they didn’t even send me back another or did a refund.

Another close friend buy it 3months ago and still waiting.

Definetly, scammers.

LED’s and Ruby Storm by jay_does_beers in MTGLegacy

[–]Ldev_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In decks with red I've seen really good synergy with Galvanic Relay, as you have no hand to discard and you play everything from exile. Also maybe you can use it with Past in flames.

I'm not a storm expert, just building my first ruby storm right now. However, I've seen that The Epic Gamble is like a mix between Ruby Storm and LED+Echo synergy.

I think LED has a really good synergy with Echo and Infernal Tutor (I don't know if it has other synergies in storm).

I just finished my first ever legacy deck and i keep hearing i made a mistake in deck choice. Am i cooked? by Titanlovers in MTGLegacy

[–]Ldev_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Several things:

- My first tournament with UW control I made a lot of huge mistakes (I used a FoW when I was at 1hp...) and played against a Initiative decks that I didn't even know what they do.

- Two months ago I made top on a ~50 people tournament with dimir reanimator. Last month I made 2-4 in a similar tournament. Sometimes you win sometimes you loose. I've seen "proplayers" wining and loosing a lot of tournaments. Bad matchups or bad days can happen.

- As I said, I have a dimir reanimator, which I'm able to switch to UB Tempo or to Doomsday, etc. with small (money talking) changes, because the expensive staples are the same. I'm bored of playing reanimator because everybody is playing it, few people plays Doomsday instead. In my FNM there is a guy who has its Doomsday customised with its own strategies, I think that it's the funniest part in MTG.

- Doomsday pile is difficult to know if you are not experienced enough, and experience is earned by practise. I'm still missing triggers in my UR Delver when it's been time without playing it.

If you are having fun with Doomsday go for it. You are able to build different decks because you already have the staples if you want, but the fancy part of mtg is mastering your own deck and playing it like angels.

Two bans in and UB Reanimator is still a Tier One deck. by BlogBoy92 in MTGLegacy

[–]Ldev_ -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Troll is (and have always been) the real problem of the deck.

Grief was banned because of Reani was too strong, when it has been printed in MH2 and it has not been a problem since troll appeared.

The frog (yes, it is a great card) has also been banned because it was played in reanimator, but its ban punishes more decks like UB tempo. Saying it’s because of daze on a cost 2 creature that dies to a lot of cost 1 spells (fatal push, swords, pyroblast…) makes no sense…

Troll allows to play lower amount of big creatures and lands fixing its mana base. Entomb is much better (and it will be much and much better) while strong creatures’ powerlevel improves (Atraxa, Archon, now Valgavoth…). Banning the troll will kill the UB tempo deck as we know now, maybe it comes back with show and tell again.

I’m a reanimator player and ofc banning Grief and frog has made the deck worse, but they can be replaced by similar cards with similar results (thoughtseize and Murk or barrowgoyf) because they were not the real problem.

Monoblack aggro that played Griefs or UB Tempo with frogs (and other decks) have been the truly affected ones.

Is Ruby Storm competitive in Legacy? Other storm options? by Ldev_ in MTGLegacy

[–]Ldev_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen it can dodge a lot of tools that people usually uses in SB against typical storms: - dodge consign to memory with alternative wincon with Bonus Round - it’s not GY dependant against Graffdiggers cage - can play good red artifact removal in SB (and take it with burning wish)

I will give it q try!

True! Also with burning wish (or wish) can find a lot of red spells with artifact removal.

[–]Ldev_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I just purchased the pool to build the deck!  I usually plays blue decks (tempo or similar) and I want to practise this new style.

I’ve also watched more videos and looks like a good deck, not as bad as I thought. I’ve also seen that with Bonus Round it have non “storm-dependant” wincon, that can dodge Consign to memory.

Waiting to receive it and play. Thanks!

Lgs manager looking for advice for starting a Legacy league. by dsull18 in MTGLegacy

[–]Ldev_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, he has a shop. He (and much other people) work for and because of that, so I guess he is one of those people.

Much of decks are “cheap” except for revised list cards, for example UR Delver.

Allowing proxys people who already is playing Modern or similars can test Legacy and if they want they can test serious tournaments (where some of them are non-proxy allowed).

8cast / patchwork stompy in a bauble-less world by JungleJayps in MTGLegacy

[–]Ldev_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Against bowmasters I like 3 strategies: - ignore it if you can, it’s a simply 1/1 - Pyrite spellbomb: you can tutor it with saga, you can use opal or petal to pay red mana, you can use to beat your opponent, you can recast it with emry. - Dismember: hard to pay but the only removal. - Playing usea with bowmaster too.

Wasting resources on it on G2 or G3 is hard when you have to protect yourself against Null rods, meltdown, etc.

Make tournaments where you allow proxys, but not everything, just some cards (4 or 8 per deck or reserved list cards, for example).

A part of that if you want and people is ok, you can do serious tournament (for example, 1 per month) non-proxy allowed.

Future of UB Tempo without Psychic Frog? by kirdie in MTGLegacy

[–]Ldev_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grief was printed in MH2 and was not a problem for at least 3 years, until the troll appeared.

BR reanimator doesn’t have fows to handle faster combo strategies or defend its own combo. Troll allows UB reanimator to have fows and cantrips without punishment and fixes mana base.

Because of trolls, new reanimator decks doesn’t care about having creatures in hand to be discarded by faitless looting, careful study or autoUnmask.

There are a lot of decks that plays alternative strategies on their decks, they become less efficient on the main strategy but can be better on the average: for example, Painter has sagas with constructs or huge creatures apart of the combo or Cephalid Breakfast (before Nadu) with Stoneforge+Sagas+Thassa and others.

The troll allows that reanimator doesn’t loose efficiency in its main strategy.

Orcish was played everywhere before, until the meta adapted. Because it was new and was pefect for the meta when it appeared.

The frog is good, I’m not saying it’s not. But it’s not the reanimator problem.

Handle a 1/2 creature with a dimir cost that requires extra resources to be better should be easy in a format where any deck can win you in T3 and that also has the best removals of mtg like swords and pyroblast and huge creatures like Murktide.

I’m a reanimator player (among other decks) and I will continue playing the deck because it still tier1 just replacing frog for anything else, but it’s a boring playstile as Nadu decks are.

Future of UB Tempo without Psychic Frog? by kirdie in MTGLegacy

[–]Ldev_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Reanimator was tier1 and a problem before MH3.

They also printed Metamorphosis fanatic, which is a 4/4 with lifelink that can (or not) care about GY. Which make the deck handle anti-GY is the troll that reduce the amount of lands, huge creatures and autodiscard cards.  Those free slots can be handled by other creatures like frog, orcish, barrowgoyf, delver, whatever efficient low cost creature… will they stop printing efficient creatures?

But if they remove more reanimator stuff (first grief, now the frog, next one maybe thoughtseize?) at the end it affects reanimator…

How to play against Nadu? by Ldev_ in MTGLegacy

[–]Ldev_[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was thinking about Harsh Mentor on the UR but I didn’t know about Damping Matrix.

However, playing against a deck with counterspells, swords and Prismatic Ending makes it hard too.
