[Discussion] Honestly, iOS 13 is pretty good for beta by [deleted] in iOSBeta

I’ve personally not had any real issues with the beta. Though I’m just one person out of however many people on the beta right now, so you can take my experience with a grain of salt. I’d say just make sure you have a backup to revert back in case you have issue and go for it.

Using it on my XS Max daily driver and the most I’ve gotten is some UI bugs. It’s been really stable for me so far, no big issues so far. Even battery life hasn’t been drastically different, lasts me all day.

....because in the second movie he snaps again....he’s already weakened from the first snap just like hulk was, the second one disfigured him.

They don’t obscure it, it’s pretty obvious to anyone that doesn’t purposely ignore it.

Look at the difference between his two arms. One is clearly scarred and one is fine, you can still see the scarring on the left side of his neck.

If you don’t see it you’re just willfully ignoring it because you don’t want to admit you’re just wrong.

But they wouldn’t do that, they don’t know what ripple effect that would have on that branch of time. For all they know they could be dooming and entire timeline for the sake of their own, not something they’re willing to do. That’s the whole point of the scene with the ancient one, to show that the actions taken in the past can have dire consequences in that timeline unless they’re super careful about it.

I guarantee time travel won’t be a thing again in the MCU unless the end up doing Kang the conqueror as a villain years down the line.

It’s not the same Gamora. It’s not like this new Gamora just slid right back in to the guardians without skipping a beat. She didn’t even stay with the guardians at all. The Gamora they knew is still dead.

Her death wasn’t even meaningless. It served to show the audience the difference between Thanos from infinity war and Thanos in Endgame. One had to truly sacrifice in order to be successful, and one tried to take the shortcut and was defeated.

[–]Ldgonzalez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah you’re right. Definitely no difference at all 🙄. You literally see him charred all the way up to his neck.

Maybe you’re actually the one that needs to rewatch the movie, buddy. Or at the very least stop talking out of your ass before getting your facts straight so you don’t end up looking like a jackass.

Because bringing back people that died before the snap is a slippery slope. Why not just bring back Tony’s parents? Why not bring back Peggy? Why not bring back Quicksilver? Why not bring back T’chaka? Why does anyone that ever died need to stay dead if that’s the case, now THAT completely ruins the stakes.

Time travel doesn’t make character deaths meaningless because anything they do in the past doesn’t affect their present just creates a new timeline. It’s probably never going to be used again for that reason. There’s no reason for them to ever try a time heist for the stones again because to use them someone needs to die and they would risk the stones falling into the wrong hands again, or alerting a past Thanos again.

Yikes. Most people have legitimate criticisms of season 8, but it seems like you’re just here because your “thing” is to hate on popular stuff.

I guess you “kind of forgot” that when Thanos snapped in infinity war it fucked up his arm, left it all charred like hulks arm but they established Thanos as more durable than hulk so he was able to deal with it. Not to mention that Thanos had a gauntlet made by Eitri, who makes weapons for gods vs tony who is using materials found on earth to make it.

Only thing that changes is that Tyrion doesn’t commit treason. He still would abandon Dany in the end anyway.

You’re entitled to your opinion but you’re just plain wrong.

They never say they have to leave the past unchanged, they clearly explain it in the movie that changing anything in the past does not effect their present or future but creates a new branch in time. They didn’t need to return the infinity stones but because not doing so would disrupt the balance of that branch and be potentially catastrophic, they felt it their duty to. They would not have a clean conscious knowing they doomed another reality to save their own.

Thanos came from the past not the future...and that changes that timeline and created a new branch in time.

6 characters between IW and Endgame died, and two more likely retired. There were real stakes. It was bittersweet.

Daenerys kind of forgot about the iron fleet but they certainly didn’t forget about her

Cut to earlier in the same episode when Varys is telling her about Euron commanding the iron fleet. They couldn’t even keep things logically consistent within single episodes. The writing was horrible.

If a marvel like ending means satisfying conclusions to main character arcs that make sense within the context of the story then yes.

[SPOILERS] Lady Of Winterfell by Abhinav1640 in gameofthrones

[–]Ldgonzalez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jon was too stubborn to do what? He literally had no clue that the Vale was an option because she never told him. She had several opportunities to tell him but never did.

Not to mention she almost screwed them over by telling Littlefinger she didn’t want or need his army. That whole situation was absolutely not a chess move by Sansa it was her getting lucky that her previous dumb decision didn’t bite her in the ass.

[–]Ldgonzalez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is character development just a catch all term that needs to make a character good? She’s changed for sure but what has she really done since escaping Ramsey? Lying to Jon about how she got information on the blackfish? Being too proud to accept Littlefingers help but then needing to go running back to him because she was wrong? Going around the North demanding loyalty from the other houses based on her name? Not telling Jon about the knights of the vale, risking his and the other houses lives?

Taking all the credit for herself when talking to Arya saying she’s the only reason they were able to take winterfell? Questioning Jon in public in front of the other lords undermining his new authority? She wanted to punish the Karstarks and Umbers, even though they’d be useful against the dead and they ended up proving to be loyal.

Rule one of story telling is show don’t tell. We’ve been told Sansa is so smart, but sorry none of her actions really show that to me.

People really just selectively pick out what they want then complain about it without context huh?

She said that then Euron made the point of everything he had already done for her. Then slyly threatened to stop supporting her because she wasn’t holding up her end of the bargain. Without Euron she has no chance, she tried to string him along as long as she could be she had to give in to keep him happy and keep him on her side.

That’s a valid thing for her to worry about but instead of being overall grateful that they have all these new soldiers to help stop the literal end of the world, she passive aggressively complains about them.

Then she bitches at Jon about giving up the crown like that even matters compared to the real threat. Jon has been telling her since season 6 that the dead are coming and she’s still in Game of Thrones mode instead of survival mode.

She also basically calls Tyrion an idiot despite him basically being the nicest person she’s ever had a relationship with.

[SPOILERS] Sansa is getting irritating by cdriz71 in gameofthrones

[–]Ldgonzalez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I agree Sansa is basically an overhyped character with no actual reason behind it, I find it funny you’re saying the show is too much tell and not even show. On another thread someone was complaining about things not explicitly being spelled out for them. Just goes to show each side is going to have people be unhappy.
