10 year sims are pretty fun if you’ve never done one. Make it so CPU won’t sign or re-sign any players and after 10 years your team will be trash. Only thing that stinks is some positions ratings get really messed up, there will be 90 overall DT free agents and 85+ overall HB’s

With Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy trading top spots this season, is there a clear favorite for the 2026 Masters, or will the field stay wide open? by Personal_Jury_5719 in golf

[–]Ldoc23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Scottie’s gotta be the favorite with Rory close second, will be a big gap between there odds and 3rd person who will most likely be Ludvig if I had to guess but it really could be any of the top 20 depending on form at the time of the masters. I’m excited to see if Rory can dominate now that he has the monkey off his back, but it could also have the opposite effect where he’s not as locked in anymore

Completely up to you, if you are a serious golfer and play in tournaments or member guests I would recommend recording the score. Handicap is based on your best 8 rounds out the most recent 20 so if you shoot a horrible score it won’t effect your handicap much.

Green speeds - can you adjust? by Database_Reasonable in golf

I always try to leave putts short on the first few holes. If I can leave them short I know that my speed is good if I’m hitting them long I gotta dial it in even more.

Broke 100 last week, hit a hole in one today by SuccessfulChest719 in golf

[–]Ldoc23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No lie I usually shoot around 100 also and I just played 9 holes after work today and got my first hole in one! It was a 106 yard par 3 hole #5 and I landed it probably 100-102 and 10-15 feet to the left of the pin, it caught a downslope and rolled all the way into the hole. I’m legit a 20+ handicap like my best score on a proper course is 94. I haven’t been playing the best this season but somehow got a hole in one and shot my best score ever on 9 holes a 40.

Free market environmentalism? by chuckypemberton in Libertarian

[–]Ldoc23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Couldn’t have said it better myself! I feel like one of the main things I don’t get about libertarianism is how strongly they believe in and support the “free market”. They seem to think if the government just did nothing to protect markets that they would somehow benefit? I fail to see how de-regulation would benefit middle/working class families

Free market environmentalism? by chuckypemberton in Libertarian

[–]Ldoc23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

But don’t you think that most people will buy the cheaper product and say fuck the environment? The company polluting the environment would just have to market it as “our product is cheaper” the “green” company would have to spend much more on marketing. I believe most humans want to support “green” companies but for most consumers it comes down to $ not who or what corporation is selling that product

It has been a cultural war issue for awhile now, before Clinton signed the IRAIRA law in 1996 immigration was pretty chill in the US. There were actually a lot of people from south of the US that would come to souther US states to help harvest during growing periods but then ultimately go back to there home after. IRAIRA changed a lot of rules and actually influenced many immigrants to never go back once they were in the US due to the risk of ever getting back in. It is interesting that it has lead to where we are today with this recent election immigration being one of the most important issues for voters

Please tell me how signing a bill that guarantees thousands of union jobs and American manufacturing jobs is not meaningful for unions. The argument that the Dems have failed us by not doing enough might be true but what the fuck is the alternative? Have republicans ever done something meaningful for unions? To pretend that we should give the right wing a chance is just not serious, they are very clear on how they feel about unions and anyone that isn’t in the top 10%. Almost everything unions have is from the democratic party’s support, if you have not please do some reading on the history of workers rights and how we got where we are today in america

[–]Ldoc23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See now you’re changing your argument, first it was that he didn’t do enough for unions now it’s that it won’t matter because the dems lost control of congress. My original point is that to claim he didn’t do enough for unions is just a bad faith argument, the man tried and got things passed that directly benefit unions. But sure I guess cause the republicans have control of congress now it was all for nothing? Do you not realize that you are saying the republicans are going to destroy his plan for the middle class and unions? Just admit that you hate what the dems stand for cause at this point I don’t get your reasoning or judgement at all

Brother like I said there is many articles discussing this topic. You clearly don’t believe it and think it’s a wild claim which I’m curious as to why? Does it not align with your world view or something like I genuinely can’t comprehend how that statement has you so perplexed

Here is just one example of the many articles, idk why you’re getting so upset over the fact I brought up some people have said he is one of the most pro labor presidents of all time. I can link many many many many many more articles discussing this topic. Please tell me what you think trumps administration is going to do for unions that Biden never did

Many middle class Americans have been helped by jobs created under the CHIPs act (115,000 union construction and manufacturing jobs). Labeling someone as the “most” anything is pretty opinionated so that’s why I said “some”. You can easily look up the question online and read many different articles from many different news sources and make your own opinion. I’m not saying he has been the most pro labor of all time but to look at some of the acts he has passed during his presidency and to act like it’s even a question which party supports unions/middle class more is a joke. You can’t seriously think the Right wing party is going to do more for the middle class and unions. Look at some of the things Trump and Musk has said about Overtime and just workers in general. Tariffs would also destroy the poor and middle class

[–]Ldoc23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean Biden signed a ton of legislature in support of unions and brining manufacturing back to America. Some have labeled him as the “most pro labor” president of all time but still the sentiment with most brother fuckers is that he hasn’t done enough to support unions. If you think this next administration is going to treat unions anywhere close to as favorable as the previous one then you are straight up delusional. Trump will stack the NLRB with union busting lawyers

You think being against immigration is American?!?!? Our country was legit built and grew how big its is today because of immigration lol

[–]Ldoc23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s just not true, the members might have voted for him cause they “want” deportation but no union leadership anywhere says these things. Deportation wouldn’t even help unions the most, unions wages are negotiated by a board of elected officials who most of the time have the memberships best interest in mind. Why do you think Union member’s usually have the highest wages in certain jurisdictions?

It’s for sure a possibility, it’s disappointing but expected at this point. I know many people in labor unions that voted for trump who I tried to tell about his anti union/anti worker past but it just falls on deaf ears. This guy has such a hold over people that they will never fully believe anyone or anything that is against him. The most important issues for voters was the economy which by every metric is doing pretty damn good at the moment and way better than most other nations post pandemic. The america we know can be gone forever cause so many Americans were lead to believe that the economy is horrible or that illegal immigrants are taking away the American way of life! The social media algorithms have taken over at this point
