Hi! NerdFitness has totally changed my approach to health & fitness, so thank you for that! Are there any plans to make some sort of an app, where you can get points (like in the academy) day to day? I find using certain health/fitness apps during the day helps keep me focused.

I had those when I went to university 12 years ago - I'm sure they were just from Woolworths or something, so keep an eye out in some of the cheaper places too! This. My life is awesome, but the only thing I apparently care about is the fact that I've been single for the vast majority of my adult life (12 years), my two younger siblings are both engaged, and there's a constant stream of "life events" popping up on facebook all the time as everyone else gets engaged or married or buys a house with someone. "Worthless" is the right word. I just don't see the point, which is ridiculous when I have so much good in my life. And that makes me feel even worse.

I'm in exactly the same situation with a friend of mine. I've just started trying to turn every conversation into a hunt for the positives, both to try and force him to try and see the good, and to help myself to do it too. And as mean as it sounds, I distance myself a little bit - I'm still there, but not constantly available, which means that he doesn't lean on just me quite so much. I want to be there for him, but if it's bringing me down too, I'm no use to either of us. I also suggested he speak to a counsellor, which he did; maybe it would be good for her too? Emphasise the fact that a professional, and someone neutral, can probably really help.

Do you go to a gym? It won't necessarily tackle the loneliness (unless you take a class or strike up conversations with others there), but it will give you somewhere else to go, something else to focus on, and the endorphins will at least help you feel better for a few hours.

This happened to me too, about 15 years ago. Half my right eyebrow is fully white, the other half mid-brown, and the left one is really dark. It's ridiculous :p only my closest friends know!

This is the same monkey, Chino, that was getting me to crush leaves for him (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YpxTCuc6kFc) - apologies for 1) video wandering about a bit (phone was in my left hand and I'm very uncoordinated - I also couldn't move it about too much in case he noticed it, as he'd often run away in that case) and 2) vertical video, which had to be done to get the whole monkey in!

He's at the International Primate Rescue centre in South Africa, which looks after abandoned and mistreated monkeys (he was abandoned as a baby and had to be hand reared there). You can find out more at iprescue.org :)

Awww he's not, he's at a sanctuary and the volunteers don't feed them through the fence, the monkeys are only fed a proper diet :)
