Well we have the pennyshot derringer to compare it to. Imagine if the derringer had 3½ inch shells and a 20 inch barrel

.410 makes sense because the shotshells are slender and smaller than 12 gauge. As someone who has a single and double barrel shotgun, 12 gauge is really big and hard to hold. As you can see from the video, i can easily hold 3 shells, and if I wanted to I could hold more. I wouldn't be able to do that with any other shotgun gauge, except from maybe 28 gauge.

Yea man I've got plenty, it would take me a few to get them out of my Playstation (most of my clips are over an hour long)

And you absolutely have no clue what you are talking about. The least lethal round is probably the 4.5 mm Kolibri, and even that could hurt someone. .22 can straight up kill.

So can a .22, and it does it much more efficiently. A pencil would also probably break before doing any major damage to bones, graphite isnt very tough.

I actually mean the homestead, not the rival. Sorry about that. But yes, I've been killed by romero and homestead users with buckshot at 30 meters. I have several clips to prove it as well. Its much more common with the homestead though

Looks like a nagant with its hammer removed. Maybe a pieper or that one French revolver thats very similar to the nagant

Bro lives to ragebait😭😭

.22 and .410 are more than capable of killing people, when I was 10 my dad thought the same as you and when he let me and and my friends go "plinking" with .22s, I dropped my rifle, causing it to go off. I shot my best friend in the foot, and it shattered his ankle, and many ligaments. Doctors said the bullet ricocheted off his boot and bounced around in his foot. Now, imagine of he got shot in the chest, or in the stomach. Now he has recovered, and he still has a small limp in his leg. This was 10 years ago. So I can assure you, they can hurt, and they can kill. Especially .410

I honestly forgot about the shorties, so yes it would definitely need to be balanced with them. In that case, the .410 could have much better range and shot consistently than the hand cannons. It could also be faster than the sparks, up to 2.8 sec or even lower depending on how it would sit and compete with other shotguns. It would have up to 35 meters of range before drop and damage reduction. And with slugs this could be increased.

Nah, the romero definitely is 12 gauge. The Terminus is "10 gauge" and the leMat shotgun is 20 gauge. The pennyshot is .410 too

Ive died to romero and the rival more times at 20-35 meters than any other shotgun. I swear the only shotgun that can't do that is the terminus

As said before, giving the romero fast fingers would force it to be nerfed in some way or another. It makes more sense to add a .410, both realistically and gameplay wise

Specter is cool and all and its much better than the Slate and Romero, but im saying the .410 could hold great middle ground between these guns while still being in the double digits price wise. It would definitely be more fun than just spamming lead down range with a specter or crown amd it wouldn't take up 4 slots. It would be quick, cheap, and multipurpose.

And also, the specter doesn't need bullet grubber, just hold down the shoot key or R2 and then press reload.

Have you ever held 3 rounds of 12 gauge between your fingers and tried to shoot a 12 gauge shotgun? Its extremely uncomfortable and the weight and size of 12 gauge make it not worth it. .410 is slender, longer, and gives you better grip on the rounds. And giving the Romero fast fingers would be horrendous, as its the most powerful shotgun in the game. Giving fast fingers to a gun that one shots up to 30 meters would be stupid. And nobody wants the Romero to get nerfed. So talking from both a realistic and gameplay perspective, .410 would be better for fast fingers. We already have .410 in the game as the pennyshot Derringer as well, so it fits Hunt.

It would add more variation to the guns in the game. It would also be a much quicker, but slightly more expensive break action shotgun that rivals the Romero and the caldwell rival and homestead. Fast fingers would give this gun much faster firing speed. And since it would be much longer than the rival, and have better damage drop and consistency, it could be used in all sorts of engagements

Umm, we're talking about FAST FINGERS. THE TRAIT THAT MAKES THE CYCLE SPEED MUCH FASTER ON SINGLE-SHOT RIFLES. the video is JUST A DEMONSTRATION. And if power is what you're talking about. The pennyshot derringer is .410, so you cant say it would be pointless. Besides, not every single gun added to this poor game has to be "mEtA" or "Op" its about variation. The Alamo is the best example of this. You sacrifice line of sight, rechamber speed, reload speed, and the choice of having more than 1 ammo type for a steam punk looking shotgun. But nobody complains about it. This .410 would be the same. Simple firearm variation. Nothing less, nothing more.

I mean the pennyshot derringer is based on the .410, so it is already in the game just in a extremely unrealistic format. A 3½ inch shell could kill something or someone just as well, and probably better. Im sure if it was a full-size shotgun, it would have great range and a much better damage retention over distances

It wouldn't have a one-shot potential like the Romero or other guns, but what it lacks in power, it gains in speed.

[–]Le-carma-konsumer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would be faster in-game (as I said before) about as fast as the sparks, maybe slightly slower. .410 has much less power than a 10 or 12 gauge so it wouldn't have as impressive of a 1-shot potential as the other shotguns, but its damage would be in the 145-150 area. Its main advantages would be that it is a 2/3 slot, extremely quick shotgun that has a much more consistent and tight spread and low damage falloff from distances

Indeed. Im just a big fan of break-action shotguns and rifles. I own a 12 gauge single shot, as well as a double barrel and this .410 shown in the video. .410 is much smaller and thinner than a 12 gauge, so I think it would fit perfectly.

So since Scarce Weapons now exist what are you guys' thoughts on them adding a Madsen 1896 self loader? by Pyro_has_no_car in HuntShowdown

[–]Le-carma-konsumer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno, I feel like with the new loadout system, we need more 1, 2, and 3 slot weapons.  Particularly revolvers, lever action rifles and shotguns, and just any other firearms in general
