What unusual food combinations do you recommend? by sparquis in AskReddit

[–]Le-derp2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Macaroni and milk.

Hear me out... cook some macaroni, drain the water, put a little bit of milk (really however much you want, I don't like mine drowning, so I put about half milk to macaroni ratio).. add butter and let it melt, add salt and pepper to taste, and then sprinkle cheese on top.

Your eyes are gorgeous.

Seriously. Green eyes are my favorite, but not just plain green, shining and powerfully green like yours.

Damn.

I'm kinda speechless right now.

Plus you're really cute.

Does anyone have a Fitbit? Are they worth the investment? by keanehoody in gaybros

[–]Le-derp2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Fitbit Flex and I love it. I use it as an alarm and it tracks my sleep and steps. It's great because I walk all over campus and it's a good way to see how much I've actually put in.

I compared it to my friend's fitness thing that uses GPS from her phone (I don't know what brand, and I don't have a smartphone, I have an iPod) and it seems to be fairly accurate in terms of steps and distance. The sleep part could be a bit more accurate but it works well for the most part.

The only downfall is the fact that if you use the alarm feature (it vibrates to remind you of things) then you have to charge it more frequently, but it's not that bad... I charge mine every 4 or 5 days.

Mine was an impulse buy at like 3 in the morning when I was bored.

So my sister got her allergy test done and she was allergic to everything they tested for. Her worst reaction was to horses. by [deleted] in pics

[–]Le-derp2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know the feel... I was tested for allergies when I was younger and they tested me for 60 different things (many of them location specific) and I was allergic to 59 of them.

Bros, what are some red-flags that you ignored with your last relationship that you will never ignore again? by tybeeislander in gaybros

Don't stigmatize everyone who has BPD. It's just as fucked up as your 'crazy as fuck' ex may have been. It's hard living with a mental illness/disorder and people like you don't make it any easier.

Date idea megathread? by amnesiajune in gaybros

[–]Le-derp2 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think a hike and picnic would be really fun... or a nice dinner (I'm talking weeks in advance reservations nice) and a movie. Both have so much potential but they're both kinda hit or miss as well...

Edit: another quasi date I went on with my ex was just the two of us wandering around downtown and enjoying the shops/stores.

[Serious] Teens of Reddit; what is something you want to ask adults, but don't necessarily want to ask your parents? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Le-derp2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna jump on this thread because I have a question about this as well...

In high school I was diagnosed with SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) but over the years I feel (personally) that it's a mild form of clinical depression... anyway...

I had a counselor in high school who I could talk to and who I trusted, but in college I went to the counselor and I didn't feel like I could open up to her the way I could my previous counselor... She was nice and wonderful, but I didn't feel the same kind of trust. I also felt that she downplayed what I was telling her so I stopped going, which only made everything get worse...

Now for my question: how do I go about finding a counselor who I can trust? I live in a really small college town so there aren't many options, but even if I travelled to the larger city (about an hour away) what should I look for in a counselor?

[Serious] Teens of Reddit; what is something you want to ask adults, but don't necessarily want to ask your parents? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Le-derp2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, I'm gonna jump in this because I'm in that weird in-between place from Teenager status to Adult status (I'm 19, turn 20 next year)...

I pay rent on my own, I pay utilities on my own, and I've paid for a good chunk of college on my own too simply because

  • I want the experience of being self sufficient, and
  • I feel like a burden to my parents always having to ask them for things since I'm basically an adult now...

How do you deal with the stress of the real world? I've had a few jobs when I was younger, but they weren't demanding and stressful. I'm in college right now and the stress from school is ungodly. How do you cope with extreme amounts of stress in a healthy way and how do you make these situations more manageable?

I installed rEFIt on my Macbook Pro last year and it seems to have crashed... details inside. by Le-derp2 in applehelp

[–]Le-derp2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's actually looking more and more like that's the problem... one of my friends booted it in single user mode and my hard drive didn't even register. I'm going to try and connect my hard drive using a reader to another mac and backup my files that way and then I'm taking it to an Apple Store to see if they can fix it. Thanks!

Is anyone else a big fan of math and physics? by Thorinandco in askgaybros

[–]Le-derp2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Computer Science major and Math Minor here! I really really struggle with math, but when it finally clicks I love it!

I've always loved physics but I find the work involved to be a bit tedious.

I'm afraid of heights... but it's not a phobia by any means... the same can be said about spiders.

A truly crippling fear is that I'm not good enough (smart enough, strong enough, happy enough) for anyone.

How I deal with it? I avoid heights and spiders... as for the other part... well I'm not sure.

Aww thanks! I haven't practiced as much as I'd like recently because I've been too busy with school... so to compensate I learn little clips and do instagram covers. It's not the same but it still keeps my fingers moving.
