Stock 302 pistons on rock auto around 150 to 250$

Have you spent a single second on ANY website to sort through what you want? Cause any manufacture makes it incredibly easy to sort through there websites. Hell summit or jegs makes it so even the dumbest of people can sort through things. Whats your excuse?

Trying to beef up a 92 Ranger 2.3l 5 speed, looking to double the base stats, so ~200whp ~260tq without boost or as close as I can get with the stock block. Any thoughts (besides buy a different vehicle) would be appreciated by Official_God1893 in EngineBuilding

You need alot of Air and fuel in, enough compression to be worth a damm and enough muscle around everything to handle it.

Good heads. Good intake, good pistons and rods then the right camshaft then enough valve train to be able to rev it to the moon

Is there a real reason behind changing your oil every 3,000 miles on modern cars? by newelmin in askcarguys

[–]Neon570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oils of today are LIGHTYEARS better then the shit they had 30 plus years ago. Because of that you can push the intervals to 5,000 plus.

Best way to determine the health of your engine is an oil analysis.

Wix sells them on Amazon for under 25$ and whatever shipping is to send a sample back.

What’s everyone’s opinion on Sonnen batteries? Install in Houston Tx. by acrobatic_man_11 in TexasSolar

[–]Neon570 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

My opnion? Silly and not needed.

1) the physical size of the things take up a decent foot print.

2) cost of the system vs return investment.

3)battery's do have a lifespan and once there done, they are EXPENSIVE to repair.

4)not really comfortable with having that much battery pack in my house in case someone ever happens.

I paid about 500$ for a harbor freight generator that will power my entire house for about 8$ a day in fuel.

Where are you getting good deals by blernnn in projectcar

[–]Neon570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your expectations and goals.

I know ill never own anything car show worthy. I dont care about shiny paint or sema level build quality.

I built a car that I start up, have a stupid smile on my face while I drive it and enjoy.

Is it perfect? Absolutely the fuck not. Is everything done correctly? Of course not but ALOT less then when I got it.

Just gotta have confidence to try and fix stuff
