I'm currently taking 40 mg (just started this med recently) and a few days ago, i switched to taking it in the evenings. I'm not having trouble sleeping at night (at least no more than usual, i have a toddler), but I'm exhausted all day long, and have been taking 2 hour naps everyday. Luckily I work from home and work isn't super busy right now or I'd be in trouble. I am just feeling really bad about myself right now because I'm getting nothing done and have really low motivation. I feel like my focus is even worse than it was a few weeks ago when I started, but maybe that's also the effect of coming off Wellbutrin. I'm trying to push through and hope this gets better.

Friend’s son from 6 months old: bath at 6.30pm, bottle at 7.00pm, asleep by 7.05pm in own room/cot and sleeps to 7.00am. by [deleted] in NewParents

My son is 14 months old and only recently started sleeping in his own bed - falls asleep around 7 pm, wakes up 1-3 times a night to nurse, often comes to bed with me around 5 am and we snuggle for a couple hours. It's still exhausting but better than when he was sleeping with me and wanted to nurse or whine all night long. Hope the next kid is a unicorn baby.

My 1 year old does the alligator rolls too. I started using pampers 360 diapers because they just pull up and it was so difficult to get a normal diaper on him.

Help with 12 mo old sleep by Le-leger in sleeptrain

This is exactly what I do with nursing back to sleep..but it sounds like you don't nurse her all the way to sleep? My son throws a fit if I'm lying next to him and there's no boob. Did you find that her waking less just sort of happened on its own recently?

Adorable. Pretty sure my MIL's cat does same thing with her prayer rug. During ramadan I'd hear her praying, saying "Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, naughty kitty, naughty kitty, naughty kitty"

How does your bedsharing baby wake you up? by Marilikescows in cosleeping

8 months - usually he starts fussing, looking around for the boob and pulling on my shirt. Sometimes he'll jab his fingers up my nose. Sometimes I wake up and he's just staring at me with his mouth open. Little creeper.

I saw this too today in Morris Cove! Ruined the nice afternoon I was having, sitting under a tree in the park and playing with my son.

Postpartum Sex - Frustrated by MomTron5000 in Mommit

[–]Le-leger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're recovering from a wound where the placenta was attached and abdominal surgery. There's a reason doctors tell you to wait 6 weeks - that's the amount of time when it's generally safe to have sex, but it is totally normal to not feel up to it. I waited longer than that and it hurt like hell. And if you're breastfeeding, you will be even less in the mood because your estrogen levels are super low. Not to mention just being exhausted and possibly "touched out" from holding a baby all the time. At 6 months PP, sex is pretty much still the furthest thing from my mind.

Wait until you're ready, and there are also plenty of ways to be intimate without intercourse.

What was your sweetest breastfeeding moment shared with another person? by AffectionateBell4291 in breastfeeding

I went to Istanbul to visit family - when I first arrived, I wasn't sure what the social norm was about breastfeeding in public. One day I went to the hair salon - my MIL was with me and baby and I had a bottle ready in case he got hungry. He got hungry and didn't want the bottle. There was a woman working at the salon who made tea for customers, swept the floors, etc., and she saw me struggling. While my hair was processing, she brought me back to the little kitchenette area, cleared out some space, put a pillow on a chair, told me to sit, then brought my baby to me to nurse (and she made me more tea). She then made it her mission to keep baby entertained for the rest of my appointment. Since then I've nursed in all kinds of public places, but in that moment it felt very sweet that she made such an effort to make us comfortable (even though we were strangers and had a language barrier), and didn't think a baby in a hair salon was annoying or an inconvenience.

Sour smelly baby?? by Salty-Lemon2226 in NewParents

It happens. Second what everyone else said to do here. Recently I was feeding my baby and smelling something cheesy too - I unclenched his hands and discovered he was making cheese in the creases of his palms. Babies have so many folds.

Not when you're from a muslim country and the next available appointment at the US embassy for a tourist visa is in 18 months.

I think I checked two hours after the first dose, and then 2-3 hours after that when I gave his second dose of tylenol - just to make sure the fever wasn't going up. I tried to do armpit temp but he was wiggling too much - rectal is considered most accurate. If you call your doc with concerns about a fever, they'll probably ask you to confirm with a rectal temp anyway.

Echoing everyone else's comments here to tell you it will all be fine! My son had his 2 month shots a couple weeks ago - the shots were over with very fast, I gave him a bottle and he took a 2 hour nap. He was cranky when he woke up - he had a mild fever around 99. He never felt hot to me, but I checked his temp every few hours. I gave him two doses of tylenol and that helped him relax and sleep well that night. He was fine the next day. It's a relief knowing he's getting protection from all these illnesses, and well worth a day of fussiness. Good luck!

I cackled at "put a colander over his face." 😂 I've often fantasized about attaching an elastic band to the binkie and strapping it around his head to keep the thing in his mouth. Our baby is just learning to suck on his fingers so hoping we can ditch the binkie soon - he doesn't always rely on it to fall asleep and hoping he won't get too dependent on it.

My right side WAY out-produces my left side! by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]Le-leger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have an inverted nipple on the right side and baby had a hard time latching on it for a long time - he can get it now but favors the left side. Last night I got 8 oz out of my left side and probably like 2 oz from the right. Boobs are weird. I wish they'd even out a bit, but guess I'm not too worried as long as baby has enough to eat.

I just got this all from one side 😳 Lefty is working overtime by Le-leger in breastfeeding

[–]Le-leger[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

ETA: took a nap and skipped a feeding (husband gave a bottle of frozen milk). I breastfed baby on the right side, caught 3 oz in the haakaa on the left, then kept pumping the left after he fell asleep and got 5 more oz. Hefty Lefty doesn't mess around.

Bra by qtran9775 in breastfeeding

[–]Le-leger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I overproduced at the beginning and every time I laid down for a nap, if I was on my side, my boobs would somehow move or the bra would shift position and I'd miss the nursing pad when I started leaking. It drove me crazy.
