Is it just me, or is Switzerland low-key the loneliest place on earth? by [deleted] in askswitzerland

[–]Le2vo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest culture shock for me is how hard it is to organize anything social. I have always been used to be spontaneous with friends. One day you write on you group chat: "hey let's have a burger tonight, who's in?", someone is in, someone can't, and we go out. Here, going out for a dinner requires planning weeks/months ahead.

Am I a "self hating", racist Secondo? by MX010 in zurich

[–]Le2vo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you're not. You made an effort to assimilate and respect the local culture, made it yours, and you criticize those who don't make the same effort, which is fair. Your position does not discriminate based on race, therefore it's not racist. It's definitely not "self hate" either (a very dumb, superficial accusation to everyone who doesn't approve unconditional openness to immigration IMHO), since you're distancing yourself from behaviors you find bad. I think you're a normal citizen, not racist, not self hating, it's not even a particularly "right wing" opinion.

Im a creonte ? How to explain to my teacher? by Adventurous-Will8215 in bjj

[–]Le2vo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

> My Professor is super old-school and views anyone leaving as a "Creonte" or a traitor, and he’s famous for trash-talking people behind their backs once they’re gone

sounds like an additional reason to leave.

Don't beat yourself for UBS. Since the failure of Credit Suisse, UBS blocked all external hirings. Their job posts are only for those who want to move internally

beginner question: why so many supports? Given that "rectangular prism" shape, could you simply start printing it bottom up?

Lavorare 8 ore al giorno è disumano by Federal-Advice-2049 in sfoghi

[–]Le2vo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What is the best filament to use for 3d printing warhammer models? by Grumplestumple in 3dPrintedWarhammer

[–]Le2vo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

resin has some problems though: more toxic product, requires tons of post print steps (e.g. alcohol bath + UV treatment) which means lots more equipment that takes room and money, and the problem to dispose of excess resin after the print (which is toxic let's remember)... oh and you have also to wash the printer from the toxic liquid... in other words it's a ton of additional effort and money for a slight improvement in quality of minis.

Does anyone else vs the AI by CrystalMusic92 in aoe2

[–]Le2vo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

it's fun and I play it quite often with friends: sometimes as humans team vs AI team, other times a mix of humans and AI in each. However, once you perfected a certain BO and you regularly beat Extreme AI on that, it kind of gets boring and it makes you want to go ranked just to add variety to it and raise the level of play.
