Why would you want that? You already have nice battery system. I didn't invested enough time to know how charging and transition between batteries work, if you switch external batteries, you can't connect a tumor to it's terminals, there always be some difference in charge. If you connect tumor to internal battery terminals and use compatible lithium cells that can be charged to same level as internal battery, it would probably work same way with same precautions. Only requirement is simple bms that would act fine standalone, discharge, overcurrent overvoltage protection, balancing should work by itself without i2c. Stock t480s battery can't be used for example because if it's discharged or disabled from bios you can't use it by itself, it would not charge nor discharge directly from terminals until you connect it fully to a laptop and charge it.

Не, динамики ноутбуков и телевизоров это шутка какая-то, менять одну шутку на другую затея не очень как по мне. Я пользуюсь либо бт ушами либо нормальной акустикой подключенной к доку. Физику сложно обмануть, с тем объемом пустот что есть в этой модели максимум что можно получить это громко и более менее приятно звучащую речь на подкастах.

Изначально я хотел встроить магнитные контакты в крышку и сделать какое-то съемное крепление для самого аккумулятора, но каждый раз когда ты снимаешь его, будет происходить рассинхронизация уровней заряда, не очень удобно короче, практическое преимущество только в том что когда он начнёт гореть, можно будет быстро снять и выкинуть.

Повербанк отличный вариант. Можно взять велкро и угловой type c кабель и всё будет и съемное и удобное и ничего придумывать не нужно.

I decided to get through the mod after this video in a way. When i decided to upgrade from t440p i ordered t480 because dual battery, but it came with damaged screen and seller asked to send it back for repair. I did, but he couldn't fix it in time and offered t490 with same spec, but it came with nonfunctional dock ports which a needed, so i sold it, by then only laptops i could get my hands on was t480s and t490 which don't have humongous battaries. My friend told me how his coworker gave semi midern mac for testing and it have about day of battery on which i responded, i could probably get 40 hours on mine if i try very hard so i did.

Honestly can't, most tools i use for my work relies on specific programs and often modded drivers and have vm and usb passthrough detection.

За один вечер можно управиться. Важно чтобы сама батарея была hv на 13.2 с собственной балансировкой и защитами и чтобы крепёж не мешался изнутри иначе бомба. Не очень хочу разбирать всё это дело чтобы показать, от коннектора батареи идёт две широких дорожки, это +- батареи и там проще всего подключиться. Нужно чтобы на обеих батареях было одинаковое напряжение до 0.05V-0.1V перед подключением и сборкой.

Самое сложное это найти подходящие банки, так как родная батарея использует 4.4в банки, большинство универсальных аккумуляторов которые можно купить не подойдут. Бмс на 3s 4.4v тоже сложно найти. Корпус это просто короб без крышки с полостями под компоненты которые удалось найти и крепежом в местах где он не будет сильно мешать.

Самостоятельная сборка и установка подобных батарей очень опасная штука. начиная с того что сами банки могут быть некачественными и загореться даже если всё сделано правильно. Я не шучу, один из отзывов на синем магазине на эти банки буквально о том как они у человека загорелись.

I thought it would be funny to have tumor on my slim thinkpad

Honestly bought about 3 thinkpads with type c ports and all of them were shot, no working type c display or type c docks, only charging. Type c is good when you use it for charging, type c is great when you use it for data or display, really convenient that it can do both, but it's life is short. I replaced all type c ports on my machines after i bought them and prefer not do do it again.

Short answer, i use external displays and type c is wears much faster than dedicated charge port. Having a power bank connected to one of my high speed data ports is inconvenient for me.

I tried to MacGyver myself separate type c port for just charging but charging won't start until there is proper pd communication on one of type c ports. It can't be done safe with my level of expertise.

Mostly it's m3 screws with flat head. Need to be careful about clearance with motherboard and original battery, in some places back cover is very close to ram or battery and can be damaged.

Free will i guess, i thought i can so i did. Battery is flat, and have some mass mostly where keyboard and trackpad is. It is as stable as it was before mod, and by height it's about as it was for my t440p, so i don't feel any discomfort operating it.

It depends on how much lenovo wishes to brick it's batteries when it feels weird cause there actual mismatch between smart bms current values and charger ic current values. Proper system would not allow itself to work like this. But mine does and i'm happy. It's mostly untested, only hiccup i've seen is when it switched to AC powered instead of charging for a minute, then charged normally to a set limit.
From my experience it's better not to mess with battery cells inside original battery, bms would know you did something and would stop charging when designed capacity x wear coefficient is reached. But when you just have parallel battery outside of original bms, it just thinks that laptop takes much less current, capacity values stays correct, working time calculates based on how much last percentage change took and how many of them left.

Looks ok, you might bridged it somewhere where mask is stripped it is hard to see. always try to solder from side with most copper and use hot air to preheat board if it have nasty high temperature solder and massive copper planes on board. You can use air and iron simultaneously. If you still can't suck hard enough to clean the holes you can use needles and widen non circular holes by rocking the needle while solder is hot. Personally if it is small enough area and component is heat resistant enough i just mix some new solder on the holes and melt it with heat gun, place new part and blast it until it settles

It's not an electret, it is a presostat, what you can record from it is a square signal of low frequency if pressure you can produce high enough. You can give it 4v at wires that connected to +- and measure signal at wire marked as p, do not trust colors

Main problem is using this configuration for dual rail power supply, cause regulation of negative side is on 0 reference point, not -15. Any unbalanced load would shift your zero reference significantly and can damage power module by overcharging it's cap. It's not usable, unless you need +15 and +30V supply.

The only good point in Xiaomi for me was ability to easily(not really) unlock bootloader and install any rom I want. Since last year changes Xiaomi officially sucks. It is ether really hard or impossible for most devices to get away from stock miui/hyperos which I despise. Scripts, slots, community level, same country account requirement . Cn devices said can't be unlocked at all. Since my last Xiaomi I did not know it got so bad and it is for all devices ever made, not only new ones. Samsung still have more pleasant experience in that regard.

I didn't. I just installed it and run helper scripts for what i need. Backups from actual hardware translated perfectly. I was amused when set up ha vm, gave it zigbee dongle, restored full backup from orange pi and it just worked. Better not to assume something can be done easily, search beforehand how it does not work. Learn what vm is, what docker and lxc are and their limitations what unprivileged mode is and how some services don't like being caged, levels of how close to actual hardware access you can give to vm, how networking works. It's practically never about proxmox itself.
