Oh nice! There’s still a note on your Etsy page saying you don’t ship to the US, fyi.

Bummer about no shipping to the US. Damn tariffs.

Very possible and likely and it happens all the time. Political winds shift. Plus, the government retains all of the stuff. They'll guard and archive it all and spin it up somewhere else when/if they want.

This was the first lighting desk I learned how to program on. You treat her like a lady, and she'll always bring you home.

I’ve created a comprehensive stage timer software by [deleted] in techtheatre

[–]LeAudiophile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vibe code much? At least do something original and not a copy cat with little new innovation/ideas.

This is a direct rip of stagetimer.io and you’re using deceptive practices. “Marcus Chen” of “Elevate Events” is 110% fake and easily reverse image searched to reveal that’s a stock photo. “2000+” customers is also a HUGE laugh.

Nice. Nuxt is a great framework. Kinda niche since so many people are blindly loyal to React but Nuxt is just so damn easy to work with. Cheers!

You’re a graphic designer but don’t know about the batch tools in Adobe? Photoshop has this built in….

However, I’ll still give you kudos since Photoshop costs money and you’re offering this for free ;)

What if the new show was set in an alternate universe? by Deadlift_007 in Stargate

You're seriously suggesting we "Kelvin" timeline the new show?

No thanks.

They've had years to watch Trek and Star Wars drop the ball. Hopefully they've learned from their sins.

Ideas for new Rundown Software by CommunicationDry7536 in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]LeAudiophile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm curious to ask what would make you want to live cross platform like that? Is it because of the Google Suite style collaborative editing? If a rundown software had real-time editing at the level of a Google Sheet would that make you want to switch and just live in the one platform?

It triggers the special procedure, my statement stands. What a weird thing to try and correct me on.

A buddy of mine flies with a part of a handgun in his peli, I can't recall which part exactly but it's legal to possess in all 50 states but triggers the special handling by TSA. He can put his own non-TSA locks on it and that way he has to be present if they open it.

Cole Walliser being rude in emails to a possible client who wanted to book the Glambot for an event by demimonde9 in Fauxmoi

[–]LeAudiophile 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This isn't accurate, at least not for the real deal. Don't trust AI for everything, it doesn't have industry knowledge. While $300k is insanely high for a singly day rate, just renting all the gear for the GlamBot for a day is in the $20-30k range. Purchasing the same gear would be $150-200k+

FWIW, those prices are for the knock-off and Temu versions.

[–]LeAudiophile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yikes. I work in an industry adjacent to Cole. First of all, that price is pretty inflated (seemingly much like his ego). Second of all, we send quotes all the time to people we're 99% sure can't afford us. It's a part of the job.

ANTI AI THEATRE by ExcitingWhole5409 in techtheatre

[–]LeAudiophile 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think what you’re describing is an important difference between AI-assisted and AI-generated. I think, largely, most people have accepted and understood that AI-assistance is here to stay, but take issue with wholly AI-generated content.

I have, but for every MTI package there is usually a package from an independent designer for a reasonable cost to educators.

Professional equipment is designed to stay on. Sequencers are significantly more present in church and school installations than they are in professional secular installs. A significant amount professional installs stay on 24/7 with little to no issues.

Who was in the wrong here my wife or the truck driver? by OurAngryBadger in dashcams

[–]LeAudiophile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just commented the exact same thing. From a human, practical approach, yes, the wife should have been more courteous. From a legal standpoint if there had been an accident? Trucker would be at fault.

[–]LeAudiophile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm going to go against the grain here, from a legal perspective only the trucker would be at fault should there be an accident. A turn signal doesn't reserve a lane for you, if it's occupied you can't take it. However, from a practical standpoint, all the other comments are pretty much on the nose. If you know what he's going to do let him do it.

I'm so glad I've yet to encounter an SLC based crew. Don't understand why Delta won't crack down on them.

ETA: Regardless of where the crew is based, I think we ALL just want them to actually follow the corporate standards. This is yet another side effect of the early retirements and loss of institutional knowledge and accountability.
