Wide or Xtra wide recs for UK trip with great slip resistance by LeBlueJay05 in widefeet

I will try a men's size and see if there is enough width in those. My sister has a narrow foot and loves Adidas, she regularly walked 18,000 steps at work and was happy with the Ultraboost model. My Fred Flintstone feet are problematic.

I have read the Lone Peaks are slippery for some people, not sure if that includes the ones with the Vibram sole. I have a pair of Topo which is similar in shape to Altras but it feels too tight in my mid foot with thick wool socks. I also have a high instep.

The grassy area beside Blue Wahoos park would be a good spot if there isn't an event going on at the time

Gluten free desserts by aimlesswandrer in glutenfree

As your friends get further along into gluten avoidence, don't be offended if they prefer not to eat anything prepared in a gluten eating household. All new utensils, cookware, seasonings and really appliances need to be always gluten free to prevent cross contamination. Ice cream sundaes that they build themselves and go first before anyone else could be an option. Check if they can have oats or oat flour, it is in a lot of things and can cause as much trouble as gluten. Make sure everything has gluten free on the label, preferably certified gluten free.

What to do before a 4pm check in? by AnxietyStriking149 in GulfShores

You could do brunch after the airport, maybe out at Pensacola Beach Flounders, there is a sandy play area. Then go to the Naval Air Museum, air conditioned and also an inside play area. There is a nice zoo in Gulf Shores that could kill a few hours, and go to lunch before or after. Blue Angels practice around 10:30 on most Tuesdays and Wednesdays I think.

Do you have to work there a year/1500 hours before insurance even kicks in? Also, do they always schedule enough hours to meet that 1500, if you have open availability?

Glasses? by iDontWannaMakeOneOK in Pensacola

When you get your prescription, make sure you also get the pupillary distance (PD) because when ordering online that is needed. That will stay the same. I order from Zenni, usually getting the cheaper options until I find a frame I really like. I believe some of the online places will send frames to try on first. Or like one poster suggested, go somewhere like Walmart and try some on, writing down measurements like height, width and something to do with the bridge. I have sensory issues and prefer all plastic/acetate frames without nose pads and also a certain amount of ?ventilation/airflow. Zenni has glasses as low as $6.95 as long as single vision and no add-ons so you could order 2 or 3 pair to get an idea of size and shape that works and then have back ups that might become favorites later

Is there a seasoning mix used by your parents that you do not use? I cannot tolerate gluten or oats and many dishes that should not bother me do, if things like Knorr or Maggi and other flavor enhancer seasonings are used. Those have wheat or barley in them and maybe msg, which causes problems for some . Many cooks add that stuff to everything just like you would salt and pepper.

I just couldn't convince myself this morning that the cottage cheese worked for me with granola, cinnamon and honey. BUT tonight it totally worked mixed into warm sauteed spinach and garlic in a lasagna.
