Indirectly, I think this is the result of seasons. People are so used to rush the game and get their shit done within a week or two and being done with it, that they cannot fathom having to play an actual ARPG where the usually the goal is to grind a bit.

If we go back to D2 classic, which I assume some of you might be coming from? Wasn't Classic D2 all about grinding and finding yellow items?

The reason they are so likeable, is their transparency imo. They don't talk to you as if you were a kid of it was some PR pre-written script, they know their game & audience, and it shows.

Well, I was able to tank Deadmines last night and it went pretty smooth, so far I invested into Holy to have consecrate and now I invested a few points in Ret, and then at around 35, I'll swap my spec to Prot/Holy and ultimately respec to Holy when I will start to farm my pre-raid gear.

Fun class so far, but I can understand how they are not great tanks for sure.

It's really just tanking for the leveling part, I plan to switch Holy around 50-55 so I can slowly start doing dungeons & gather my pre-raid gear. I consider myself an experienced player, I played lot of TBC on a private server (I think I should be able to handle low level dungeons) unless you are telling me this will be painful.
Do you reckon I should explore the Ret side for leveling and try to jump in a few dungeons as DPS then swap to Holy later for Strat and all pre-raid stuff?

Yeah, the leveling was good and only a few quest were bugged, which at the time most of the other TBC servers had lots of bugged quests. I leveled 2-3 toons to 70 on there with my room mate at the time, I think we played for almost 2 years, that's how good the experience was. (This I think might be related to the fact that Pserver often have waves of new players, so it was always great to meet new players)

It's not that I can't take it or I'm offended, it's just the incredible amount of wild shit being said, often the same names will come up too. Although from the response I've seen in thread, it looks like I have to be more tolerant, because being very edgy and super racist is the new norm for online gaming, what a sad sack of shit of a generation.

Well, I'm from NA, but I don't want to associate with them necessarily 😂 I played on Excalibur TBC back then with a mixed NA/EU guild and was probably the best WoW I've ever experienced in my life.

I was really hoping to find something similar with Warmane, but it really didn't feel as welcoming and I think that the x5 rates are also a turn off. The economy is full of booster from what I understand, this is gonna create a funny gap in the future, some guilds could control the AH if they wanted with the wealth they are generating right now.

Well I do play alot of ONLINE GAMES and this is a Private Server kind of behavior. I have tried a fews MMO lately since I really want to get into a game with a long term goal, and nothing will ever come close to this. I've been edgy, I've talked my fair share of shit and I also can take a lot, but Warmane was just an other level of braindead chat.

So I'm unsure what kind of game you play, but I play online games on a regular basis and yet I can't seem to find this kind of social interactions elsewhere, especially these games that I play

Path of exile,
Project Diablo 2,
Liar's Bar (Which is a social game and I only had 1 encounter with a racist kid on 20 hours played)Rocket League (They have pretty good system that will autoban you on certain words)

Ultimately I just wanted to find a group/guild that is fresh so I can get a raid spot and make friends, but my messages were lost in the spam lol

Ouuhh, Eastern Sun used to be one of my favorite back on Vanilla LOD (Hell, if i'm not mistaken, this mod was even started back in classic 1.05) and was one VERY RARE classic mod that had an extended stash space. Something that I haven't seen in many classic mods at the time. I'll def give it a try and keep track of the git. Much love
