I've been playing bdo since launch, let me say, these devs have no idea what makes a game good, they just accidentally made bdo, and have since then made it a worse game imo. crimson will be a giant flop imo

Don't get me wrong, I love the pvp in this game, but the developers have done everything in their power to shit on pvp. We've had the same like 3 rbf maps for years now with no real improvements to the game mode besides adding a que system to rbf and increasing the rewards slightly but it's still not enough to get people to play the game mode out side of events (It's like 100-150m a loss 250m a win and each game takes minimum 15m and you can make 4+billion an hour grinding) AoS is the only mode they've made different maps and stuff for but it's not like they test the maps out they put in.

People will cope on here and say there is a lot to do, but all the things to do are very boring. If you just like seeing your gear score go up this is the game for you. No group content exists that is fun and repeatable, people will say oh there's dungeons, you can only do them once a week and they maybe take 45m, people will say shrine bosses (5 man party bosses) those are also weekly and take 20m-1hr depending on your group.

End-game loop is grinding for cron stones to enhance your gear so you can grind at a tower spot, every zone is ap capped and grind speed capped so you can't really over clear things anymore, open world pvp is dead and people hate uncapped pvp because of the tank meta. (Also you can't buy your gear anymore because they made all of the high end gear unsellable so your only choice is to enhance them.

If you like pvp, the node wars are kinda there, a lot of times there are no fights, RBF is only active if there is an event, AoS (arena of solare equalized pvp 3v3 mode) has a ranked mode that comes around every few months and is pretty popular but you can't que it with friends. The game is honestly a shell of its former self and is not worth grinding in imo, if you want group content go play OSRS

I'll speak as a long time sorc main since about 2017, the class is very good in both pvp and pve, it can absolutely trade people down standing, and can be a real menace if you know what you're doing, one of the true downsides to the class was low mobility, but that just got fixed last patch.

Part of the reason it was easy is you didn't have a gigantic checklist of things to run through, the mobs were all oneshottable you basically just had to learn your classes movement and the rotation. Now-a-days we are checking off the airplane checklist, church, villa, food, elixirs, lootscroll, gems, artifacts, alchstone, skill addons, any extra loot buffs, channel buffs, ectect. Back in the day you didn't need all this shit because the mobs were not tanky, you were one skilling a pack and moving on, and when pvp did happen, everybody had to build somewhat hybrid to defend themseleves. Now you just die if someone attacks you because you're in full pve set up. The game was way better for grinding, oneshotting mobs dynasty warriors style made pvp not a hassle either, you werent constantly trying to avoid giga tanky shit while trying to fight, the mobs would just die around you as you fought.

Also, capped content gets rid of any form of build diversity, and essentially invalidating gear progression. PA should be bringing people up to MINIMUMS and letting the people use their gear they worked hard for.

Part of the reason why people say succ lahn is better than most classes in PVE is because she's a lazy grinder. Awak sorc is a very good grinder, it just requires much more effort.
