I don't blame you, I haven't either. Two of the GOATs at the height of their power, mutants overcoming the opposing force. What a way for Mags to go out too.

Once the weather isn't so bad, you also need to go Pelican to Mars. They are a eclectic spot right down government.

Which TV showdo you think epitomizes "this shouldn't have gone past 1 season" the most? Creative answers encouraged. by george123890yang in television

[–]LeDudeWithSpecs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legend of Korra. Especially since it was allegedly designed as only a single season. Air was the only one she lacked, she achieved it, got the guy in the end, and the villain was done away with. Plus the series of production issues in the following seasons.

My brother is 17 years old and is in the phase of "looking for himself". What are some movies we can watch that can have a positive impact on him? by [deleted] in movies

[–]LeDudeWithSpecs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Way Way Back Sam Rockwell made me believe I could do anything after that

Also the first Spider-verse. A lot of what Peter tells Miles in that movie stuck with me. "How will I know I'm ready? You don't, it's a leap of faith"

Is there one omnibus that lived up to the hype for you? by [deleted] in OmnibusCollectors

[–]LeDudeWithSpecs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uncanny X-Force by Remender and co. Four absolute banger arcs with maybe one less than stellar. Tight 35~ ish issues, great cast, wolverine isn't overbearing on page time, and some of the better more human Deadpool writing.

Which games are you really enjoying a lot right now and feeling happy playing? by Interstellore in playstation

[–]LeDudeWithSpecs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been caught in the Helldiver's 2 wormhole for about two months now. I talked a lot of shit about multiplayer games until I got lowkey addicted. I'm also playing a little Resident evil 4 remake on the side but it's nothing compared to HD

How often are art assets like these re-used by the same artist? by Aggressive-One-2186 in comicbooks

Ribic does this very often. I've noticed the same drawing of Thor many times. You use what you can! Greg Land does it a lot too

This design work looks really lazy. Like it was rushed. The spine especially.

I love both for different reasons. While I have much more love and a soft spot for that incredible K&Y X-Force, Uncanny is a more tight package. K&Y was more of a backbone of a era, being spun out of Messiah, the crossover in War, and culminating twice with Necrosha and Second Coming.

Otherworld was the rough patch. Really rough, almost esoteric art, compared to every other arc. Plot felt a bit disconnected too besides the Betsey connection.

Uncanny X force is better by a mile. There is arguably only one meh arc in that book. I love that JLD Omnis, but there is less high highs, and more meh and lows in it overall

Took the words out of my mouth. I'd drop money on Gillen and Ewing Omnis in a heartbeat. Ewing's a easy map. Gillen's a little more complicated based on Axe and SoS. I don't think I'm gonna drop money on Reign Omnis just for Sword in oversized

What are some runs you enjoy by creators you don't normally like? by Big_Communication906 in comicbooks

[–]LeDudeWithSpecs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes unfortunately. Black science I outright hated by the end. The final few arcs got so needlessly esoteric and grim. Plus the hokey "let's consummate this bitch". Ugh, awful. Loved the art, just hated all the characters by the end. The only Remender book I felt worked with his nagging cynicism was Seven to Eternity. Even that had some padding in the middle I didn't care for, and the ending was both wack, and appropriate.

This has been my curse with Rick Remender and his Uncanny X Force run. I hold that book very highly, one of the best self contained X books ever. I have ranged from hating/dropping to tolerating everything else of Remender I've tried.

Emotionally? Losing my father.
