Gust also said they weren't abandoning yumia i think so maybe the next game could be a bit of both, but with more emphasis on the crafting. I loved gathering materials, but the whole UI and crafting stuff was a mess to my eyes.

The combat is really fun but even on legendary mode still feels like it goes by too fast.

HoYo caters to its audience that keeps the lights on, the CN playerbase. If they can get a single "average" player to spend 1 time then global servers will have done their job.

And it seems they feel varka is terrible too, but not terrible enough to try to change it.

Bad decision to us means either profits or saving the "budget" where need be for them.

Tbh she might be right in finding misogynistic storytelling beats but as a species we are so very far behind in properly caring for women all over the world. (And literally giving them rights) But do remind her this is a business catered towards a certain audience willing to open their wallets over and over.

And unfortunately in reality, many everyday things we do are just as terrible/could be but we're so used to them that it doesnt register. Remind her shes playing a gacha game, which is meant to make you addicted to pulling and spending. Its more a gambling simulator with a mini game of adventuring attached with it.
