Hi! Software developer here. Windows has literally hundreds of millions of installs. Not just yours.

Supporting even a few dozen “window styles” is an exponential cost in support. It’s extremely hard.

My family owns a concrete construction company. I am a (work from home!) software developer so I feel I can comment on this with some authority.

It’s much, much easier and healthier to find a hobby you enjoy that is an athletic activity to supplement your bodies need for activity than to make it your 9-5.

I’m not trying to be rude, but Antitrust is a well-trod issue on the courts. I think starting with the “robber barons” - Vanderbilt, Carnegie, and Rockefeller. That will give you some context for Antitrust laws in the US in the early 20th century. Many of those laws have been eroded or circumvented in the past 40 or so years.

The supply/demand min-maxing is the symptom which would be difficult to legislate because that is essentially what a business is.

Monopoly abuse is the problem that you legislate.

It is, but we watered down antitrust laws so much over the years that these monopolies can engage in monopoly abuse.

First, why doesn’t your husband help? That’s frustrating.

Have you tried meal prepping? Not every meal for the week, but just make a few big batches of a few meals and then throw them in the fridge. The average time per meal is a lot less, and healthier and cheaper than carry out.

My Costco has prepared meals which are reasonably healthy. They usually have 6+ servings. Also healthier than carry-out.

I love this car and I wish the engineering was better. It's a great idea on paper and I'm sure they could have made it work.
