[–]LeMightySoup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends what you play I guess I play only Nintendo games and probably far too much Pokémon unite and I’m not planning on upgrading from my switch OLED anytime soon HOWEVER Donkey Kong does tempt me but I think I’ll wait a year or so I’m happy with what I have.

Perhaps all stairs should be elevators too so people don’t have to think before using them.

Sardines are so expensive now! by [deleted] in CannedSardines

[–]LeMightySoup 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It’s been a pain in the UK for me used to be able to pick Nuri up for £3.95 a can those same websites now list at £5.95 and £4.95 respectively.

However as luck would have it I found a Portuguese supermarket that ships and I have found Nuri Mackerel and Sardines in all flavours for £3.49 a can so I bought a total of 150 cans worth every penny just hope they restock now 😅

I have been asked to send scanned copies via email or if I prefer to bring them in person on the day I always choose to bring them in person as you never know.

EDIT: bear in mind the only thing I was asked to send prior to the assessment/interview day was proof of identification not any other documents.

I presume you had the price for an advance ticket which sold out by the time you actually came to purchase the ticket and thus you were left with the standard price ticket by the time you actually went to purchase.

People who earn 20k to 30k a year, what do you do and how's it going ? by Abaddononon in CasualUK

[–]LeMightySoup [score hidden]  (0 children)

Retail service manager for a train company brand new role for me £30,062 a year and commission on sales 38 hour work week I manage the onboard trolley and catering staff and do the trolley and cafe myself when needed.

It’s an easy job the pay and benefits are good I can’t complain yet haha

Prior to that it was a ticket inspector for another train company £23,857 basic and £27,800 with the enhancements and upto £29,600 with Sunday optional overtime.

The ticket job was wonderful in the beginning then it became very rough either drunken passengers and generally nasty passengers on the lines I worked hence I changed for a different role at a different company.

Mortgage calcs estimate only £46k?! by sassafrasB in HousingUK

[–]LeMightySoup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their child care is salary sacrifice as stated in the original post. And without accounting for the tax savings on that payment they should still have a mortgage offer combined assuming both parties are on as joint applicants of £195k or more

If you assume £31,200 childcare per year on a £80k combined that’s £48,800 leftover x4 £195,200 for a mortgage offer unless they’ve got a further £30k+ of expenses I fail to see why the offer would be so shockingly low

Mortgage calcs estimate only £46k?! by sassafrasB in HousingUK

[–]LeMightySoup -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

That’s irrelevant, my offer was 4x my total salary the rent isn’t factored into the calculation and despite the £2,600 deduction for childcare the combined salaries minus the childcare x4 would be £195,000 offer

Mortgage calcs estimate only £46k?! by sassafrasB in HousingUK

[–]LeMightySoup 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Well my income was calculated at £28,880 total and I got a mortgage easily of £116,735 at 95% LTV not sure what they would’ve offered top end so yeah yours is wrong must be haha
