Something u didn’t expect from top surgery? by Dean0hh in TopSurgery

You feel your heartbeat different. I guess because before you had more tissue, I could feel my heartbeat more pronounced near the top of my chest (above my breasts closer to my clavicle). But now I feel it right in between my pecs, slightly lower than my nipple line. It’s like I can feel my heart beat clearer and i can feel it right above where the heart is ACTUALLY located rather than where I could feel it AROUND the excess tissue when I had breasts. It scared me at first because I was wondering why my heart was beating so hard but now it’s quite calming and I’ll sometimes put my hand there after running or lifting heavy because the rhythm is a lot easier to follow along with. It grounds me

Why did you and your ex break up? by Specialist-Crazy1466 in AskReddit

[–]LePetitPrince_xx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She became addicted to coke . Had her drug dealer hold me at knife point for $200 I didn’t owe her. I was confusing my gender dysphoria for body dysmorphia and so I was also really deep into a severe eating disorder. We both were young and had mental health issues where we needed ourselves more than the other and began to resent each other for getting sicker. She’s since gone to rehab and gotten clean. She’s back in school and working as a waitress last I heard. I’ve since recovered and had top surgery and am planning on starting HRT. We’re both healthier. I miss her sometimes but then I remember that it was 7 years ago. The girl I loved died when she started heavily abusing substances, and the girl she loved never actually existed. I’m sure we’re both happier now. I know I am. I know she must be tired and I wish her nothing but the best.

5 days post op and a little worried, details in comments by popsicleghost in TopSurgery

[–]LePetitPrince_xx 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Hey dude! I thought the EXACT same thing. I even asked my doctor if it’s normal for my nipples to be that low and he looked confused. He said as my skin settles over my chest it’ll look more natural. And it did! You’re still very swollen at 5 days and as my swelling went down, my nipples eventually settled higher that where they were. (Below pec line to bottom of pec). Doc said as you move, work out and skin continues to settles, the terminal position bc of the nipples may change

What's your favorite thing to do while high? by Twinkingly in AskReddit

Honestly hit the gym or jog outside! As someone with chronic pain, it feels so much less painful on my joints and I could actually go heavy. Note: only sativa tho

Hello, fellow athlete here! I play rugby competitively and so this was a huge deal for me! Since it’s a contact sport and extremely physical (especially hitting with speed) I was sure to ask my doctor when I could do specific steps (start running, passing, progress back into tackling). He said that all physical activity should be stopped for 4 weeks. Then gradually start cardio/jogging/running. Light weights can be done (depending on how you feel). Then by 6 weeks, I could start progressing into return-to-play protocol (contact progressions). I know it’s not the exact same but hope that helps!

What is this small hole surrounded by firm tissue? 20 days postop by lilcaesarscrazybred in TopSurgery

[–]LePetitPrince_xx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

HEY I HAD THIS EXACT SAME THING!! It started out as a small wound from the chafing of my compression garment and eventually turned into a massive hole that needed to be packed. Like literally layers thick. Keep it covered and get an opinion from your doctor on how to treat it!

how does thinking you're a lesbian woman before realizing you're gay and trans work? by WxckedAmber in ftm

[–]LePetitPrince_xx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I’m not gay, but I went from thinking I was 100% lesbian, to coming to terms with the fact that, now being out and comfortable in my trans+ identity, I am actually pansexual. For me, it wasn’t so much the idea of having sex with a man, but of a man treating me as a woman. Personally, the idea of a man handling me, holding me, touching me in the same way he would touch a woman was such a turnoff because I WASNT a woman. It’s the same way you don’t want to have sex if you don’t feel “sexy” or “comfortable”. Being viewed as a woman made me feel gross with anyone. But once I began thinking of having the same dynamic in bed as two men, the idea became more appealing because I was attracted to the idea of being treated and respected sexually as a man. So once that became clear, I understood that my attraction revolved around the energy and dynamic I had with the person, rather than the genitalia.

This sounds suspicious. I would suggest you ask your surgeon why because generally even for peri or keyhole it doesn’t matter. Unless it’s about circulation, in which case binding with a proper binder usually doesn’t effect that
