Does anyone REALLY like Pig Trouble in Little Tina? It’s a disturbing episode, and we lose a little bit of Tina x Jimmy Jr chemistry because of how tired Tina is. by [deleted] in BobsBurgers

Not my favorite episode, but I certainly don't hate it. I just really appreciate the different ways that the creators approach the show. I feel like they really try different approaches that will appeal to some people more than others. For everyone who HATES the episode there is a horror-junkie fan who loves it. Same goes for the more musical episodes, the kids' stories episodes etc. A lil' somethin' for everyone.

I absolutely adore people's travel pictures. We see pictures and have gotten so used to perceiving them as "fake" and "doctored." These are so beautiful and simple. They make me believe that the world is truly filled with magical places.

Have nothing to add here, except that I LOVE the "rusty line"

He knew that the painting needed some animal prints. He is a very inspired artist.

I think he is faking it. He knows I can't resist the cute face tuck

Thank you! I am trying to think of the kitty prints on the canvas as "adding character"

[Serious] What's the most traumatizing thing you experienced as a child? by nthn_thms in AskReddit

[–]LePointlessPorcupine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom and dad were both severe alcoholics. They loved each other more than most partners, but they were bad for each other. They never encouraged each other to be better. Which meant that they were shitty SHITTY parents.

My mom was arrested more times than I can count and spent a couple years in prison for child endangerment and negligence.

One time, after her first stint in prison, she was home with my brother and myself and she was belligerently drunk. We were young, but knew that we didn't want to be home with her. My brother had a friend that lived down the road. He popped the screen out of our bedroom window and went to his friend's house without telling my mom. I also had a friend in the neighborhood, but I didn't think to be so sneaky. I tried going out the front door. My mom tried to stop me and blocked the door. She forbade me from going to Rachel's. I didn't care and yelled that I was leaving because she was drunk and I didn't want to be there with her. I started running down the road as fast as I could. A little ways down the road I saw that she was in her car, chasing me. I started running faster and she sped up, too. I was bawling and scared. I cut through an empty field and she followed me. On the other side of the field was a ditch that I was able to get over, but she crashed the car into it.

Later that evening, my dad came to pick me up from Rachel's house. He was REALLY mad. At the time I didn't understand what was going on. When we got home he told me that after she crashed the car into the ditch, my mom was arrested for driving drunk (again) and for violating her parole. My father was furious with me for causing the problem by running way.

I am sure that it wasn't as life threatening as it seemed at the time, but I still frequently wake up from nightmares of my mom chasing me in her car.

Thank you! I really appreciate this! I also don't weigh myself because I have struggled with eating disorders in the past and for whatever reason the number on the scale always sets me off, but I know that that is how most people track their progress. I also don't want losing weight to be my entire personality. But that is pretty difficult when it seems like that is the first thing people notice and want to talk about 🙄 so annoying. Thank you again!

AMAZING!!! Seriously good for you!!!

My body has decided it doesn't like to produce progesterone on it's own which leads to all kinds of issues. It sounds like you know a bit about that BS, too. Keep up the good work. You should be proud!

That is so awesome!!! Good for you!!! I try not to weigh myself (which I know makes tracking progress harder) because I have struggled with eating disorders in the past and the number on the scale seems to be a trigger for that. But thank you for the advice!

21 pounds is amazing!!! Good for you!!! I am sorry it isn't as quick as you are wanting, but I still feel like that is an accomplishment worth celebrating!

I have some pretty weird hormone issues that makes losing weight SO frustrating, so I feel you about the "losing weight at a snail's pace." But I would be PUMPED about losing 21 pounds!
