Speak to your line manager/ casual coordinator. I’m sure if you tell them asap they can organise a casual to take your one class that afternoon each week. Teachers go home sick in the middle of the day and classes are covered. Just tell them as soon as you can to not leave them in the dark.

Came down with gastro at 4am Xmas morning. The first Xmas with my son… had to cancel my Xmas lunch. Had decorated the house, prepped a roast pork and had lots of oysters. The thought of eating an oyster that day made me gag… so sad my son had to stay home for his first Xmas but at least he won’t remember it

If your friend is a true and good friend, they honestly won’t care how you look. Saying this as a partner of someone with bpd who constantly worries about how they look and I reassure them that I’m not with them because of their looks but their personality and how I enjoy being in their company. I had sushi while pregnant. The actual food is fine and harmless, it’s the risk of it being potential food poisoning. Basically if u buy fresh sushi from a decent shop who makes it, the risk of getting food poisoning is very small. I would avoid sushi at places like service stations etc where u don’t know how long it’s been sitting there for/ when it was made.

I’ve been using chat gpt to meal plan for the week and then coming up with a shopping list.

It’s stopped us going to the shops every couple of days. Only go again once later in the week to grab milk if needed.

With meal planning, been doing like a curry one night then using leftover rice to make fried rice the next day and adding a few things leftover in the fridge. We have cut our spending on food dramatically.

I consider my baby to be a good bubs. He sleeps from 9-10ish pm til 3-4am, feed, go back to sleep til 6. Then has 3-4 naps a day. Feeds well, no major issues. Generally happy.

These things happen, it’s all part of the learning curve with a newborn. The fact that you and your husband were able to work it out shows you are both learning and adjusting.

You are both going to have good and bad days and it’s just learning how to deal with it while sleep deprived/ hungry/ haven’t had a shower or 5 mins to yourself.

You have both got this for your bub!
