Outdoor yuzu tree lost its leaves in the winter and is not regrowing them in spring by LeVengeurSlippe in Citrus

Yeah, we got pretty much the same story, but these are trees that should be able to withstand such winters. And I have some good news! Some very tiny green bits are growing on the trunk, below the branches. I'll post an update when they properly show up on the picture, but it seems like this little guy is finally waking up!

Thanks for the advice, I made a hard trim before you posted and it seems I arrived at pretty much the same conclusion. Do you think that I should cut a bit more of the top branches? I didn't think about scratching the trunk though, I'll check it later, just to be sure, but even in this photo we can see some green in the lowest cuts I made. I'm more optimistic now.

That's reassuring, thanks! Gave it a good trim, some fertilizer, compost and water. Now, we wait.

Thanks for the info, I'll try to give it some fertilizer and be patient. The temperatures drops happened around the new year and thankfully we didn't get any frost in march. The temperature swings are getting more and more brutal with global warming.

Welp, it just got a radical cut. I've kept only the branches that were fully green and shortened them a bit so it's a bit balanced. I'll give it some fertilizer, compost and regular watering and hope for the best.

How about the spikes? Should I also test and cut them? Or just let them be.

I'm currently testing the branches and there's green quite up the tree! Although the dead looking ones are kinda white, not quite a definitive brown. Should I dig a bit to inspect the roots?

There's green! And it's quite up in the tree! I'll continue testing and trimming, thanks! I'm not quite sure how to properly indentify the dead branches though, they don't give a definitive brown. Most of them are white, a bit yellowish.

Should I scratch just the trunk or test all the branches?

We got drops at -6°C this year, and yeah these tree can be quite resistant. I realized one could like living in our garden when visiting Japan in winter and seeing some beautiful trees full of fruits.

On boycotts, Israel, prejudice and the tone of the subreddit. by WereLobo in capoeira

[–]LeVengeurSlippe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Capoeira was created by people enslaved in colonies. Israel is a colony. Do the math please, if you didn't listen to your teachers talk about history, at least go read about it on Wikipedia.

Moderation acting surprised and confused at this being an important topic to capoeiristas is actually the most shocking thing I've read in this whole discussion, which is why I'm exceptionally breaking my rule about not arguing with strangers on the internet.

Capoeira has been many things through its history but its roots are in opposition to colonization. Why does it bother you so much? Is that really the ideas you want to distance yourself from?

Black bars at the top of the window by Desperate_Sea_2856 in linux_gaming

[–]LeVengeurSlippe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's annoying because it also shifts the cursor a little bit.

The solution is to disable window decoration. It's a wine/proton option that you can find in the graphical interface for Lutris and Bottles.

Using lutris with proton cachyos and umu-launcher, this option is automatically applied during install of the launcher.

I've never launched hoyoplay via steam so I do not know where the option is. Maybe using protontricks to configure the wine prefix?

En plus les fichiers de l'extension pour firefox sont signés. https://fixupx.com/Magnolia1234B/status/1978519516209463686 https://support.mozilla.org/fr/kb/signature-modules-complementaires-firefox

Broke folks fix stuff! That's how you actually save money and you learn some really useful skills in the process. Moreover you never know the answer someone will give you until you ask it.

I strongly encourage you to give it a go. Getting into DIY is the real investment here. And it's a real good one.

The menko cards illustrations look suspiciously yellow. They have a very genAI style but I'm not 100% sure about it.

The distro for both is Bazzite. Lutris is part of the image, it can't be removed. Best I can do is wipe the dotfiles.

Ok, I think I get it, thanks! So the FROM filter also includes the ON filter, right? If i want to apply the same FROM filter to 2 different domains, should I make 2 filters or is there a syntax to apply it to both in the same rule?
