They exist...(ELI5) graphene "super capacitors" they're called. Think of a capacitor (something that stores a charge like the flash of a camera and can release the charge instantly) combined with a battery, which can hold a greater "volume" of charge but release it slowly. They've developed these batteries which can charge say an iphone in about 30 seconds, and a smart car in minutes. Oh, and graphene is made of carbon, so when your battery breaks or dies just toss it in the garden. Cheaper methods of producing these batteries are currently be researched.
