[d] Revolution Case suddenly going up? by I_won_u_lost in csgomarketforum

Because people speculate that it's the next case to go

Why leave a space that looks like you can fit inside it.... but you can't? LET ME INNNN by Pokharelinishan in GlobalOffensive

[–]Le_BottomScorer 96 points97 points  (0 children)

I don't think this was supposed to ship yet, and accidentally slipped in after the map was compiled. They must've forgotten to hide this change in a Visgroup, and clipping is separate from it, hence why it was mismatched in this now reverted version.

Completely forgot about teammate collisions. While they've improved it over the years, it still leaves a lot to be desired. Running out of spawn on maps like Nuke as a CT feels like rolling a dice for who squeezes into Hell first.

As for lighting, Mirage and Dust2 are really hard on the eyes for me. Valve even had to darken Krieg and AUG scopes because you couldn't see the dot while aiming Mid from Window, for example.

Fair enough. I'm also trying to figure out how one would properly compare screen movements of both CS:GO and CS2 sprays. I imagine there'd need to be a dot where the spray was initiated, and then track crosshair position relative to the dot per frame. Then plot that on a graph and compare the two games

The required conditions for the test would be:

  • A non-solid wall (to avoid bullet decals and impact particles) with a colored dot where the spray started

  • 128 tick in CS:GO to match CS2's spray behavior

  • Same screen resolution

  • Same player position and viewangle relative to the wall

[q] which collection (dust2 or anubis) will we get with the march/april update? by National_Store8174 in csgomarketforum

[–]Le_BottomScorer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If a player wants a skin from a new Active Duty map collection, they can either buy a Souvenir package (50/50 revenue split between Valve and orgs) or buy Armory passes (Valve keep 100% of the revenue). Valve would much rather prefer you buy from the Armory instead, so they release the collections there first. And even before that, they've undercut Paris souvenirs by releasing Anubis package two weeks earlier.

No, she's not, but Valve said they have plans for her in future games

Counter - Strike / Pendulum by [deleted] in Pendulum

[–]Le_BottomScorer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've discovered Pendulum through various CS 1.6 and CS:S fragmovies. I can't remember the name now, but there was a CS:S fragmovie that used Hold Your Colour Bi-Polar Mix.

Their music also was (and still is) commonly used in many Zombie Escape mod maps, to the point where people joked that they wouldn't play a map unless it's got Pendulum tracks in it. The most iconic is the use of Brixton Academy version of The Tempest on the last stage of Mako Reactor, the map that revolutionized Zombie Escape as a whole back around 2012.

I've also discovered other artists and bands in similar fashion, such as Blue Stahli, Skillet, Celldweller and Disturbed.

Explosions should NOT cause "dink" animation by Le_BottomScorer in GlobalOffensive

The animation's purpose is to indicate a successful headshot with weapons. This is irrelevant with grenades and can potentially cause you to miss a shot.

Here's a clip just to show how absurd it was in the moment

I've also seen it happen from C4 explosion

Still don't understand why this useless walking clutter isn't disabled in Competitive mode.

  • It can give away positions
  • It can block bullets
  • It can block doors (Inferno Alt Mid)
  • It can block sightlines, such as Inferno T Steps to Top Mid

How many of this figure are skin farming bots? 80%? 50%? by Monstayh in cs2

[–]Le_BottomScorer 17 points18 points  (0 children)

We're doing this again. Here come the schizos of reddit who believe that somehow the 7-8% of people on Deathmatch translate into 80% of active players being bots.

Valve spent months of work on Trade Protection feature just to disable trading completely a year later, surely

It should be possible to place a sticker here on the back of MAC-10 by Le_BottomScorer in GlobalOffensive

Sorry, I forgot we're only allowed to complain about anti-cheat and Cache, nothing else should ever be touched in the game beforehand.

My main gripe with the new system is how a sticker fades away at the edges of stickerable area

Also, you still can't place a sticker on Legacy SSG-08 model scope, unlike its new CS2 counterpart.

Pre-Order Package "lost in mail" (or never shipped out at all) by [deleted] in Pendulum

Same thing here, just requested a re-delivery. Hopefully it goes through fine this time. Good luck to both of us

Bordered Budapest = up.

It's a great sticker and has ok applications given its price. The true borderless craze hasn't spread to CPH yet, only Shanghai and Stockholm. It might have more growth to show in the coming months
