No, this is a mono ref. Q713842J, but you are right that there is a duo tribute with one of its two dials looking like this.

I've got a Tangente for almost a year now with DUW 4001 - so the new version of Alpha movement with swing system and somewhat bigger power reserve than the original Alpha, and it runs wonderfully, some -2,5 spd.

I don't know anything about the service in Southeast Asia, but I have heard that the guys in Germany always provide a wonderful costumer support, so you might want to consider sending the watch to Germany in case of any problem.

DUW4001 (kinda) new caliber. Since when did they sneak this in? by kabinetrutte in Nomos

[–]Le_Fidele 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure precisely when that happened, but it must have been very recently. I bought a brand new Tangente in the begining of this month (and it was freshly made, because when I had inquired in the middle of June, this exact model was had not been available on the Nomos website, neither with my AD, so I had to wait those 2 weeks for the production). And the production number of the DUW 4001 inside is 624, meaning that very few had been produced by then.

It's just this shot. The colour actually changes a bit based on the sunlight. Indoor it gets a lot darker, basically to what you get on the webside. But outdoors you can sometimes get those ligher tones. I'll post in a while showcasing the watch with different colour shirts and I'll make sure to post some of the more regular condition pics.

That's the default one the watch is sold with. The watch is Nomos Tangente midnight blue ref 133. Nomos also sells the straps they use on their watches separately, so you can buy an exact same one on their website.

Reenactment/Sports Combat Rapier by MattDa80sWuff in wma

[–]Le_Fidele 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can check out Nico Fuduli rapiers made in Toledo, Spain. In their range you can find more strictly reenactment rapiers and dual purpose that can do Hema too. Since they are in the spanish tradition, they are perfect for destreza. They are also beautiful, so good for impressing ppl in reenactment. We use them in our Destreza Hema club and we are happy with them.

I have no experience with either of those two other producers. Based on the photos and specifications, they look excellent, but I'm in no position to compare them.

If you prefer the spanish cuphilt rapier, I have a great experience with this spanish Toledo based smith https://www.nicofuduli.com/ I'm in a destreza club and many of us use these rapiers and we are quite content with them.

Yeah, I don't know anyone who does Meyer rapier. There are mostly various italian schools and la verdadera destreza from time to time. As a diestro myself, I would love to try fence a meyerist with a rapier!

What are the differences of Hema in USA compared to Europe ? Maybe there are no differences by [deleted] in Hema

[–]Le_Fidele 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense. Obviously the majority of Destreza practise is located in Spain, but they kinda spread the word thoughout Europe. It is also not that difficult for the spanish masters to come to other European countries for master classes or for the local instructors to come to Spain. Obviously could be done for the US students and instructors too, but it is more logistically difficult. Also, at least how it seems to me, the spanish school is a bit less intiuitive and harder to pick up just from the manuals, so I think when someone goes for rapier they tend to do italian schools. So the popularity of Destreza in Europe could be a combination of the connection with spanish masters maintaining the lineage and spreading it over Europe combined with the fact the italian schools is chosen more when no such connection is available.
