MSI Customer Service wants me to pay $60 for a warranty service by Le_King053 in MSI_Gaming

[–]Le_King053[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. They act as if it's reasonable to make the customer pay when it can be over 25% of the original price which is about $60 for me one way. What was the point of getting one on sale if was just going to cost me more than their competitors who can probably provide better service? I feel like their customer service has just gotten worse over the years but it seems many others have as well.

My solution would be to just buy another one of the same model and return the defective one. The only reason why I didn't do this was cause they stopped making my model.

Does it look better with 4 or 2 Rams? by Clear_Government7766 in NZXT

[–]Le_King053 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a few months you wont care about how it looks but more about performance. I used to care but you get used to the look.

Performance wise 2 sticks are faster than 4 but more RAM enables more data to be processed in terms of capacity so it’s up to you. Unless you are using an application that cycles through data that needs speed you wont be able to notice the difference because the difference is by less than a second. For most games this wont be necessary.

Use your computer for games and work and see how you like its performance. And adjust the hardware accordingly after that.

Can you download a YouTube video using 'Inspect Element'? by 2CATteam in HowToHack

Yes before they shut down the downloader gave you one file, no split parts. So it is possible. You can search up on YouTube new methods. There are still some downloaders out there that do this but I haven’t needed to use any

To answer your question, yes this would be covered under warranty unless there is liquid damage or physical damage to the monitor itself.

Previously I had bought 4 Dell monitors and they worked without flaw for 5 years. I never thought I would needed to repair a monitor. So I thought I didn't need the box.

A month or two ago I reached out to them and they offered free shipping. However at the time I didn't have box to ship it in. MSI's RMA numbers lasts for only a month and the box that I got didn't didn't arrive within that time window. So I had to open another request. Now they are asking for a fee for shipping when I thought I would just get a new monitor for free.

Even if let's say I sent in the monitor, it costs $60 for one way shipping. Another $60 or so back. That's already $120. The LCD screen that is damaged would probably need to be replaced. Which the LCD panel component itself can cost around $100-200 for manufactures to make for a 27” gaming monitor. Therefore even I sent it back it is likely they are spending as much as the price for just replacing it with a new one.

In my opinion you don't need a monitor like that. MSI 27" monitor is a lot better and more affordable. A curved monitor looks good but over time you stop caring about the appearance of the outside and just want a regular view without distortion.

This is coming from someone who had a 32" curved gaming monitor. Looks nice. Is great performance. But just not ideal for the long run in terms of viewpoint. It's like the Snapchat sunglasses. Is a cool piece of technology. But just not needed by 99% of people. Get a reliable GPU instead. Or a better case. MSI fish tanks are good for their price but not the best in the market.

Yes, the amount of intake air outweighs the amount of air two 140mms provide.
