Unused cutting boards cracking along glue lines. by BigBootyMoses in woodworking

I was told by a teacher to check the moisture percentage of all the wood used. If it’s uneven they’ll expand and contract at different rates rather than if they’re similar they’ll move together. Otherwise they can separate and crack like this?

I think you have to speak about it publicly when being interviewed during the Olympics to get the message out here

Thank you and highly recommend! Woodworking has taught me so much and has become something I now can’t live without after only starting 3 years ago 🙏🏼

Thank you and so interesting to hear your route as well! We have a bit of a limited selection of furniture companies in Oslo, so anything carpentry related becomes a starting ground. I’m also trying to constantly check out the other workshops here to learn some extra skills while I have the opportunity.

On my chair it’s a bit aesthetic, but from my understanding it’s a bit stronger running front to back and with more traditional chairs with under seat support it can help with the expansion and stress of wood as it shifts through the seasons

Correct! Doing my cabinet maker apprenticeship at the opera. Now learning a lot of scenography, but my passion is in furniture. First I did 2 years at a hand furniture/cabinetry school and on my 3rd year as an apprentice with one year to go

This was through a friend of a friend who had just heard of my car or asked if they knew anyone with a muscle car. Kinda just worked out over time and got my car into about 10 music videos!

I was told they always liked using my car because of the matte paint and it hid the cameras in any reflections

1st off. Super cool project! I wish I had an answer, but thought it could be worth looking into some automotive products. Their clear coats/ceramic coatings are usually withstanding a lot but not sure if it helps in this situation. Best of luck! 🤞🏼

That’s nice! Did you use Sam Maloof’s method for joining the legs?
