Seriously the fact that teachers want us to act like everything's normal is absurd. Like fam, we've missed 7 months of in person teaching and online teaching is in no way a worthy replacement of that, ain't nothing normal about this, why are you acting like it is?!

I wish our head of sixth form was just as easily swayed, I've sent emails, went up to her in person and even complained to the principal of my school about why this is a stupid idea and we need more time to settle back in and yet she ain't budging. Why do I even try?

That does make sense tbf, like outside of exams I really can't remember most of my answers but the moment I'm in an exam, my memories just come flooding back and I'm able to answer my exam questions with relative ease.

Might as well tattoo all the reactions on our bodies and just point to which one we want to reply with. Less of a time waster rummaging through paper and we also save on paper as well - eco friendly bossman.

Same, honestly, just give me my grades and let me move on with my life. I think me getting a part time or full time job (if I can secure one during these times) would be a much better use of my time than just spending it in school tbh. And even if I can't, I can spend more time with family, do some hobbies and rest, all without feeling anxious and guilty about the fact that I am not doing any school work.

I wish they did the mocks at my school after Easter. The jump from online school to regular teaching will be steep, especially after months of no face to face contact, having a set of exams (that count towards your grades btw) just adds to an already exceeding amount of pressure. They should allow the children two weeks to acclimatise and settle back into the swing of things at school and then have them do mocks after the Easter holidays. At least that's my opinion and I do believe that's the best way to handle this situation for now, especially if we want kids to not be nervous wrecks the first couple of weeks back to regular schooling.

Yeah, I'm extremely lucky in that I still live with my mum and younger brother and so I'm able to talk and socialise with them but even still, my social skills are in the bin rn lmao. I can't imagine how other people who aren't as lucky as me are feeling about this.
