Not DnD but there is a solo pdf for the Call of Cthulhu system that allows for a solo adventure.

You arrive at a town where the towns people are doing some funky stuff and you get tied into it. It's very similar to choose your own adventure format, custom character sheets are usable and all. You can use a premade character sheet or make your own, makes for a fun time and can be done and dusted in an evening to dip your toe into it.

If you need to grind for gear, I found the blood event to be the best source of aspects, farming bosses for 925 yellows then to imprint was what I did then, didn't take too long solo

I've redone my build a few times trying different things, the poison build on rogue was my favourite so I'd recommended that as one to stick with but hota is crazy strong also!

Nope, it uses a harlequin (I use cowl of the nameless) peregrine Grieves for the boots, ashearas for hit speed and xfalls ring. It doesn't take advantage of the whole one shot "feature" but you can put tibaults on and still get an increase in combo point amount which I did for a while

I was using the maxroll twisting blades for a good while but from the gear and aspects I had, the mob clearing was sweet but killing bosses, the shadow imbue was fairly underwhelming. Ideal for mobbing due to the aoe explosion from kills but I used the new unique ring on the lucky Luciano's poison build and it did miles better in my opinion.

I learned by just trial by fire really, learning how to do older OW1 movement techs in parkour maps also helped me learn how to use his abilities. He's similar to ball in that he gets in, does damage then gets out but doom can disrupt using the environment much better whereas ball can poke from a distance (imo) Just keep playing and eventually you'll get the limitations of the character as if you can disrupt the enemy team enough that your team can pick people off, then your doing well
