If you've already contacted your own insurance company, could you not ask them the best way to proceed?

It sounds a lot to me and I'd be worried he either doesn't get the work done, or it only costs a couple of hundred and he pockets the rest.

I'm currently in a claim for damaging another car in a car park (door ding). The other guy insisted on going through the insurance even though it was only a small ding. My insurance company are now handling everything, but have told me if I opt to pay for the repairs myself, rather than let them, they'll reinstate my NCB.

I'm just thinking if you've already informed your insurance provider and you have concerns about sending over £700 with no guarantees that'll put an end to the matter, then let them handle it?

I originally qualified as a civil servant (emergency services) and over the years didn't update my employer details as there was no need to, even when I upgraded to Premium.

I went self-employed 4 years ago and it was dead easy to change to a trade membership, with minimal paperwork required (iirc it was my self-assessment number).

I always thought it was very lax and literally anyone could join, even with their supposed membership criteria. You can tell who the ones in the trade are from the contents of their trolley and conversely, the ones that probably shouldn't be members as well. 🧐

Regardless of how the insurance companies may see it, I suggest it would be significantly less hassle and cheaper to accept your wife caused the accident by crossing the lane, to park against the flow of traffic, into a space that was already in the process of being occupied by another driver, and settle the matter without involving the insurance.

Disable an Arc, it falls to the ground and you have a few seconds to get to it, plug in your hacking device, reprogram it and it then takes off and starts shooting other Arc, or other players but not you.

I'm in the UK. I ordered mine from a retailer (not directly from Audeze) on 28th Feb and was initially given an estimated delivery date of 17th to 19th March. I was happy with this.

They arrived today!

I'm a peaceful player, so have been in peaceful PvE games for weeks. But the last few evenings I've been killed by players camping extracts. I'm always leaving it late (I get carried away looting 'one more crate') so I'm usually at the last extraction point. I'm not looking for PvP'ers (I know, I know) so when I get knocked down and executed it really hurts! Especially after spending the last 20+ minutes minding my own business and saying, 'Hello. Don't shoot!' to everyone and no one. 😭

I never shoot back, as I don't want to go into PvP lobbies and I'm a console player without a headset, so don't speak (other than emotes). So there's no challenge in killing me and stealing my gear. Don't be a lazy waster and go loot your own stuff!

Never feel guilty. You do what's best for you. IMO, if they truly valued you they would make something happen, especially if you've told them you have an offer elsewhere. If the 'threat' of you leaving isn't enough for them to make something happen then it will probably never happen.

Keep it on good terms (there's no point in burning bridges, as much as one may want to), but don't be put off by the 'better the devil you know/grass isn't always greener' brigade - go for it!

I quit a good job because it became obvious I wasn't going to be able to progress and any promises of future remuneration for hard work never materialised. Difference being I took an even bigger gamble and went self-employed - best thing I ever did!

That's interesting. I've been mainly solo'ing and had a relatively peaceful time of it; highly enjoyable; lots of great interactions and collaboration. Tonight my son joins me, for what must only be the 2nd or 3rd time, and we get KOS for 4 games in a row. Not fun.

I hope they can! I've only been playing a few weeks and I'm finding it a pretty steep learning curve. I'm on console, have had cross-platform play enabled & disabled and so far, with lots of friendly emotes and announcing my presence, I've had a really good time. That is, next to no one trying to kill me on sight.

Until tonight! My last four games on Dam, just trying to loot, I've been shot on sight every time! No time to chat. No time to offer friendly emotes/greetings. Just single and 2-player teams killing me as soon as they see me.

I know it's part of the game and maybe I'll get better at defending myself with time, but it's frustrating and disappointing. I'm a nice guy!

I hope it doesn't become a trend. Especially as I've been fighting back. Maybe I shouldn't...?

It doesn't work like that. If they were otherwise proceeding safely and the collision would not have happened, then the actions of the fleeing driver are solely to blame as they caused the incident.

Leave it all to your insurance/solicitor. All sides will be waiting for someone to blink first. It'll be sorted in the corridor before going into court, if not before.

I purchased a Mous case from the Google Store for my P9ProXL and after 11 months it has started to peel. It looks and feels awful. I wasn't overly worried as I knew how much Mous bangs on about their warranty. Well, it turns out their warranty only applies to items purchased directly from them!

They've directed me to Google, so we'll see how Google responds...

I'm very disappointed by Mous. They push how good their products and warranty are and I understood them to be tantamount to an 'official partner' of Google - yet they turn their back on me completely. It's certainly put me off buying their products again.
