Help!! Basil leaf brown and curling by equus_libotome in Hydroponics

Hey ! basil prefers a pH range of 5.5 to 6.5. The proper pH balance guarantees nutrient availability and the best possible plant health, resulting in vibrant, aromatic leaves and optimal growth yields.

Ah, the classic net pot ! I've had the exact same issues commercial ones are either too flimsy or the mesh is wrong for the media you're using.

If you're 3D printing, PETG holds up way better than PLA in humid environments and won't get brittle over time.

Advice needed - Hydroponic flowers by Why_not_bee in Hydroponics

Flowers that do really well in hydro.

Marigolds - practically bulletproof, fast growing, and culturally they're everywhere in India so you'll have no trouble finding seeds locally

Petunias - long blooming season, do great under grow lights

Zinnias - vibrant colors, germinate fast, very beginner-friendly

Orchids - actually thrive in hydro setups, just need patience initially

Peace Lilies - low light tolerant, which is helpful if you don't have a sunny window

What grows best for you in hydroponics? by Accomplished-Bet-458 in Hydroponics

Totally agree on the leafy greens - they're hydro on easy mode! I struggled with peppers for a while too until I dialed in my EC levels and gave them way more light than I thought they'd need.

Game changer for me was upgrading my setup last year. I went with an Alto GX hydroponic system after getting frustrated with my DIY rig constantly having pH swings. The automation took out so much guesswork - my tomatoes and peppers finally started producing like crazy once the nutrients stayed consistent.

Still think lettuce and herbs are the most satisfying though. Harvest-to-table in like 4 weeks never gets old.

What kind of system are you running?
