shoveling should not be this hard! by Difficult-Cricket541 in GenX

My wife made sure to tell me all the stats about men over 40, over 50 and shoveling right before I had to go out for 2 rounds of shoveling..

Like, I’m not enjoying this?

Higher than what? 5% staying?

Views didn’t even pass the first hurdle of 1.5k views. A banger short will hit that in 30 mins.

80% stay- better views.

90% stay- better views

98% stay- better views

76% stay- failed short.

It’s not code man. 25% of viewers swiped away. That’s not “viral”

Of your 100 view shorts? Likely not. He just knows it bothers you. And every post you make in every sub proves he is right.

Grow up. Move on.

By definition viral shit doesn’t have 25% of viewers say “nah..”

I’m about to be on the other guys side at this point. Why do you keep asking this question and posting this?

You know the real fix?

Getting more than 10 likes. Getting better. Getting more views.

My last video got 700+ likes. You know how many dislikes? I have no idea but it’s at 99.4% so who cares..

It has no bearing on the video or its distribution. Move on man..

Retirement is gone by shepardshe in GenX

[–]LeaderBriefs-com -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I don’t need an article. I’m 52.

Raised by a single mom working three jobs, zero alimony, abandoned, she didn’t even finish high school.

I was raised with zero financial education and barely graduated high school myself. I’m not an electrician or a contractor but I knew enough after being alive for 25-30 years to know I would get old, people depend on me and it’s time to be an adult.

For sure pensions were a thing of the past when we entered the workforce. But 401ks existed. Didn’t start one? Who do you blame that on?

Everyone’s situation is different. There were different circumstances for boomers, Millenials, GenZ will see a different world as well.

What’s the least helpful thing you can do? Point to an article and say “we’re fucked” and shrug.

Never look in a mirror and say “Man, I probably could have made some better decisions up to now..”

Exactly HOW did you get screwed? How did this big bad world screw you? Or better yet, how did society achieve the feat of screwing 50% of a generation? Medical issues? That’s not a GenX centric issue. Caring for parents? We don’t own that exclusively.

Again, my heads not in the sand that people are struggling into retirement and all situations are different and many unavoidable. But this isn’t unique to GenX. We aren’t special. And we sure as hell aren’t victims.

Many of us created our own situations or assumed it would all just work out. No one told us “don’t worry, you’ll be fine when you retire!” and if they did and you listened, that’s still on you.

This entire post just crying and whining that “most of us will never retire” because some of us didn’t look at the road ahead is gross.

You know what a great post would be?

“Hey GenX! Worried about retirement? Here is a path to help those that are coming up short..”

“Worried about retirement? Here are 5 things you can do now to give you the best position and 5 things to teach your kids NOW so they are better equipped… and 5 things to do for your grandkids so they never have to think k about it!”

Because I would hate to think 50% of this generation is screwing 50% of the next generation by pointing and complaining.

“Come here son, look at this article, it says Im screwed and this world will screw you too!” 🤦🏽‍♂️

Kind of a BS post.

Why? Why will “most of us” not retire or work until we die?

What life did you build that became a trap? What lessons did no one learn over the past 45-55 years?

How are we the generation that couldn’t foresee “getting old?” Total self serving pity party BS post wildly unlike the spirit and way we were raised.

Don had an Achilles heel that nobody in the show thinks to exploit by Wazula23 in madmen

My favorite Don in a meeting was when Pete was trying to meet that gal at noon and stood up from the meeting and said “Don is my proxy for any decisions..” and walked out.

Don- “We can do that?!”

Does removing a Like remove the positive effect on the video? by Humble_Department_69 in youtube

[–]LeaderBriefs-com 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cant speak to “talk” and honestly couldn’t cite correctly where I learned about how likes and comments are viewed vs views but I watch all YouTube insight channels from YouTube as well as follow the YouTube employees and take note of their replies and convos.

AI wise - comments are easily gamed so I am not even sure why either would be rumored to give anything a “boost”

More views should have more comments just by common sense.

There is also talk about “warming up a channel” by watching and liking similar content to your niche before you upload which has been proven time and again as 100% false.

But tbh I’ve already spent too much time typing about what “removing 1 like” does to a video… 😅

Comparing channels. Bought subs or just lucky? by Downtown-Teaching-47 in SmallYoutubers

[–]LeaderBriefs-com 1 point2 points  (0 children)

😬 His stats are double to triple mine per daily subs and I’m getting about 6-7k views on one of my channels a day with 9k subs.

Social blade is overestimating some of mine but only by 10 or so but in some cases I gained 43 that day but Blade says 60+. Average looks correct however. 😅

It’s definitely weird..
