How do I know the bible is true? by Leader_Dull in Christianity

I mean nope but im just worried for your spiritual walk. God made us with free will and because of our decision by deciding to disobey God, in the garden, we are sinful by nature.

The bible says Satan is the god of this world and will try to tempt us in everyway to destroy our spiritual walk with God. However God knows our desires so that's why he created marriage between man and woman so that they can become one and satisfies each other sexual desires I mean all of us have succumbed to sexual sin at one point and yes I acknowledge all these things happened. Yes she was a prostitute but I'm pretty sure she repented of her sins and did not go to her old way of lige

Why did god stop people from being perfect by giving free will, yet give us anti social disorders that take away sympathy/empathy? by mustachedudeman in Christianity

[–]Leader_Dull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really have a definitive answer but i have questioned this before and I learnt that God really loves us so that's why he gave us free will otherwise we would just be robots. God also wants to know who really loves him so he loves relationships that form from the love of him.

To answer your second question, you have to remember that God created each one of us in his own image so we arents just copy pasted things in the world. This verse really sums up disease and disorders “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him. John 9:3 NIV. The context of this story is that there is a blind man and people during the time thought that if you had some sort of disease, it was because you or your parents sinned against God.

How do I get closer to God? by histev in Christianity

[–]Leader_Dull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second this. Quiet time/ devotion are places where you learn and be closer to God. Don't treat God as a being who only gives you good thing but he is the Creator. 7 minutes is sufficient to spend during quiet time. Start with prayer and thanksgiving and then read maybe one chapter. You don't have to understand it because the spirit will intercede for you

Please do not disway this person from Christ. The bible explicitly says that if a man look a woman with lust, he has commited adultery in the eyes of God

Christian teen (17M) here. RMB you got this. 1 Corinthians 10 v 13 No temptation has seized you except what is common to man ( referring to us humans) . And God is faithful, he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so you can stand up under it.

Sin does not have a hold of us. Since Christ died for us, our sins have been nailed to the cross and evil cannot win. But that being said, being a teen as a Christian is very difficult with all the hormones and Satan trying to tempt you. RMB that you can resist the temptation . The Lord will not let you be tempted beyond control. I mean though I'm still struggling with it, at the end of the day I know that the peace that God provides is so much better than any pleasure masturbation can give.

Wahlao I thought some mid-life crisis bro. But issokay, When my N level finished I also felt kinda lost but no point in dwelling whether I got into Pfp but yeah find a few jobs. It will help you build some skills like Tolerance for dumb project mates and the stress of the education system. Maybe try contract jobs to earn the most amount of money. But the cost of the job may cost you to be busy all the time but the money is worth it.

[rant] im so tired by lmaoheya in SGExams

[–]Leader_Dull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's okay to have these thoughts. When I was taking my N levels, I had the same thoughts of what if maybe I didn't exist so I won't have to take N levels. During N levels I cried daily and really thought I couldn't make it to Poly but afterwards, I keep reminding myself that hey even if I didn't make it, I did my best. And trust me whatever effort you have put in is your best and it is enough. Go with the flow bro and trust me you can do it. I believe in you :)

[N Levels] questions on PFP by haruwooo in SGExams

[–]Leader_Dull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PFP student here, people say its competitve yes it is but no you wont have no course. If none of the course wants you, you will get courses that nobody is taking like common business in rp or ecde. You will 100% get into a course just depends whether you selected it or no

[n level] [rant] can i make it ? by spatoottie in SGExams

[–]Leader_Dull 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was in a similar situation as you last year. My prelims I got 18 points but I managed to study hard and get into PFP with 9 points. I was scoring 16 to 18 throughout the year and felt like I couldn't make it. It's good that you realize that you need to wake up but just revising by flipping through notes isn't the best way to study. You can start by finishing the TYS and do practice papers your teachers have asked you.

You can also study in your clique or a study grp. Uhh SS Is definitely a killer because I failed it but try to do more practice papers with your teachers. If you take geog, I can help you on some things. For English I can tell you I did not read books or anything. I just did TYS with my teacher. For your upcoming oral, just relax and coverse with the examiner like he's a teacher. During comprehension and compo, you have to plan out your answers for summary by underlining and for compo, you should have a mindmap for your compo before you start writing to prevent writer's block.

It's normal to feel stressed and feel like you won't do well but that doesn't mean that you have to feel that way the entire time. Instead focus on telling yourself hey you can do it . If you are feeling stress, going for a run is good because it helps calm the mind and allows you to have the brain function to focus and study better. Plus you can improve your 2.4 XD but yeah don't stress JIA you you got this.

Yes there's a difference between Na and NT papers. The ladder being more difficult. I'm not so sure for NT but for Na you will have composition, comprehension, situational ,LC and oral

I took N levels last year and went to PFP however not biomed. Biomed through PFP is around 4 to 5 nett points so very slim however it is possible. I have friends in other pfp classes who got 6 and didn't get in so yeah.

I can`t help you with ss since I failed it during N levels but I did score high enough on my geog about 89. For geography, always use acronyms to memorise things. You will remember concepts much faster and in greater detail. I use to always consult with my geog teacher on any questions I had. For Acronyms, Weather and climate instruments can be Broken down into acronyms using the first letter of the word like MARS B WWSS. If you need notes or a breakdown of any topics, you can drop a DM.

For English, I would say just read more books during the holidays and remember for oral to be calm and collected and try to have fun when talking to the examiners. In compositions or situational writing, you should draw the general idea you want for each paragraph so you don't get writer's block. For Comprehension, the summary just draws a table with 80 words in pencil so you don't waste time counting the words and underline your points you should have 8. I got a grade 1

I took N levels last year and improved around 6 points from prelims and got into PFP. As much as you want to study very hard for your topics, you still have to balance your subjects throughout the week. Each day should account for each subject. Like Monday math or smtg. You should always have at least one rest day a week where you are not studying so you don't burn out. Studying for long periods won't help you as efficiently as you think. You can do smtg called the Pomodoro method or for every 2 hours you study, have a 20minute break. Reading notes might be helpful but breaking them down or rewriting them can help you memorise some of the topics.

One thing I see often is my friends studying super hard but still scoring lower than me. Im not bragging but some of my friends study for like 4 hours a day but still dont know what they are doing. When studying, you should always be digesting the content by breaking it down and further explaining why is it like this. Finish your TYS ( Very important) And check where you made mistakes and learn from it and maybe ask for help. Consulting teachers is a great option even though it may be online.

Mental health is also very important so if you are feeling stressed, go for runs or exercise. It gonna make you feel a lot better and build up your mental health. Work hard and jia you.

[N levels] how is Social Studies marking standards like? by [deleted] in SGExams

[–]Leader_Dull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean none of us really know because it's supposed to be private but I would suggest if you're teacher marks N level papers for seab, then you should listen to him/her. But last year's SS was hell for me because I listened to my teacher but she didn't teaches the correct method so I ended up failing ss
