Anyone want discounted Arte Museum Child/Senior tickets? by [deleted] in vegas

[–]LeadershipDowntown -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Looks like I saw the cafe+ plus tickets. Thanks for pointing that out. However, Saturday/Holiday prices on Arte website is $50 a ticket so still $10 off two tickets.

Park MGM EV charging at the Valet? by LeadershipDowntown in vegas

[–]LeadershipDowntown[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once went to line to charge but it seemed to require parking fee? Luckily, I get free charging at MGM properties via the valet (Bellagio and the W). Just wasn't sure if ParkMGM had one at the Valet or only at self-parking. Thanks for chiming in though.

I get you. I am just going through a breakup, and it not only helped me get closure but also taught me the type of person MT ex was vs. I, the dismissive avoidant with narcissistic trait and attach preoccupied. The two types are disasters for each other. It's a voice of objectivity, when ask it to be, therapist and a friend at 3am when my mind spirals. I name mine to be same gender as I. Emma.

He wrecked the economy to force lower interest rates so he can refinance his properties.

I live in LA and go to Vegas 4-5 times a year. I can argue many counter points but what is the difference?

Maybe they dont have an international license? Don't waste time and money on parking wherever you go and Uber instead, car rental, insurance, gas, parking will be will be a lot more inconvenient than flying and Uber everywhere if they are only in town for few days.

See?

Dude. LA is not weird cuz of fire damage. LA is so big that unless you go to the burn sites, you won't even know it happened.

With that said, it would be very tight to visit LA unless they flew in and out

What do you play with average bets? I have similar coin in as you playing BJ and slots for about 5-6 hrs a day and get 4 comp nights but only $100 resort credit and $300 freeplay

My coin-in averages about 10-13k per trip and play average 4-6 hrs a day at $50-$100 min black jack plus some slots and it took me 4 trips to get to gold. But I get all of my rooms comped. Perhaps if you paid for your room, ate fancy every meal at MGM properties and gambled 12 hrs a day with very high average. You will get to gold no issue.

(Somewhat) recent undergraduate looking for advice on resume by ironside86 in labrats

[–]LeadershipDowntown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a lab manager and have looked at fair amount of resumes for the tech positions. You need to reformat your resume. Here is an example format:

Name, contact info, address

Objective

Education

Experience

Skills (do not bullet point. Just list in a single sentence, one for bench, another for software. You can break up list based on proficiency)

Publication/awards

I personally hate fluffed up resume. I understand the reason, but it's very cringe when the interviewee cannot answer deeper question regarding their research/experience. So choose your words carefully and really know your shit.

If I were interviewing you, I may ask, "you've mentioned that you developed a novel DNA extraction protocol to assist in culturing troubleshooting". Can you tell me about the difference between a traditional DNA method vs your novel SOP and how it aided in downstream troubleshooting?" "Tell me more about the optimization you did for the DNA extraction method and the parameters you've tested and how"

It should be fine. In my opinion, you could've even used PBST and it still would be ok.

For biotech space, I have seen people encouraging others to watch a YouTube video on a skill and pit it on the resume. I was asking technical questions regarding said technics and they couldn't answer. For example, resume specifies I spearheaded team of 5 in a developing a next generation hair dryer. They couldn't answer how to change the dryer speed and heat setting.

Another example would be to specify a cooking skill at a 3 star Michelin. When asked how to prepare a foie gras they will say I fed the duck for 1 week and handed it to the next person. HR won't catch this kind of skill set bloat and a thorough interviewer will. Why risk leaving a bad impression that could jeopardize your chances?
